Default Cooling fan delay...

Though I have an SLK32, I'm sure the cooling system and electrical is similar if not the same.

Anyway, I was wondering, shouldn't the cooling fans stay on after the engine is shut down? This has been the case on other German cars I've owned and other lesser autos.

I'm not talking about short drives around town, I'm talking about driving the sh*t out of this beast, pulling up, turning it off and NO fans?

Please oh please ye mighty gods of the M112K, hepp me!!

The only thing I can say is that you would need to leave ignition on, for engine off fan running.

Get a Turbo Timer.
Allows you to dial in delay after car is turned off. About $20 for a cheap one.
Put one on my Camaro when I did the rear-mount turbo. Car doesn't have to have a turbo for timer to function BTW.

I have not noticed the fan running after the ignition was turned off on my car ever. I did have cars that would have fans running after the ignition was turned off, in fact they would start up after the ignition was turned off, I guess because there was heat buildup at the sensor.

The cooling fan on the Crossfire will shut off when the key is turned all the way off
They will run if you turn the ignition back to the start position (just before cranking)
