Personally, I was simply after a realistic timeframe, especially with the sideskirt, header and turbo fiascos. This shop specializes in custom suspension setups, no? I build servers and network infrastructure for a living, every network is different with a specific set of challenges and obviosuly it is a very in depth process, but since I am an expert in my field, I can pretty accurately tell my customers when to expect their solution.

I appreciate everything you and GC have done for the platform and look forward to having the new setup, one day.

You have something wrong or I have something wrong. Mine is low, low, low! It's perfect for the street but not for the track. I'll search around to see if I have a "decent" picture of the front installed. (leaving for lunch now)

I don't find the pictures I'm looking for so you get what I found. Sorry about the blur. Ignore the deformed rubber, they sent the wrong one and it's been rectified.

Did you leave the upper spring pads in? Hard to tell from the pictures. The upper spring pads have to come out front and back before the spring perch is set on top of the front spring. The spring should be loose and at the shortest/lowest setting of the adjustment jack through the bottom of the front control arm, the spring should pull out with the front wheels off the ground and no tension on the sway (both front tires off the ground same time). The spring seems too loose after the spring pad is removed but Donavin ensured it is no issue and for me it hasn't been. If you already removed the spring pads, then I have no idea what is wrong. The part # on the spring is correct, 8" tall spring 1100# compression rate.

I agree with Les, the tallest setting on the front is low low low, I have increased the spring compression rate to reduce rubbing with the kit maxed out on height (front only).

Hey everyone,

I'm going to hop in here and see if anyone has any thoughts.
So I've had eibach lowering springs and 5mm pads in for the last few months and I've been loving the look and feel. I thought it was time for an upgrade so I ordered the ground control kit and couldn't wait to get it in.
The front is sitting pretty good, could be a hair lower. But the rear, is sitting awfully high. I know everyone set it sits low with the kit but I'm not really seeing it. The front sits where my springs were and the rear is almost stock hight. Any ideas ? Both were adjusted to be at the lowest setting. I must be missing something here. I'll attach some pictures to show.

And please ignore the muddy mess. Went to a concert last night and parked in the field in the rain.
Thanks in advance guys.

And one thing i just noticed is i may have the bottom piece in the front upside down maybe ?
I installed them the way they were together in the packaging when i got them.
I don't know, i'm lost at where I messed up.

For the non-racers, what spring rates is everyone running and are you on Koni's? The stock suspension is fine for my mixed needs, I just want about a 3/4" drop all the way around. Seems like the Eibach set is a downgrade for the SRT (upgrade for base).

I had the Ground control kit from Needswings (Touring springs /Koni Sport shocks) installed a few days ago.
The Merc mechanics i use have initially set it up at a little under stock height with the shocks adjusted half way with what he called a "neutral" wheel alignment . He wants to readjust it all in a months time.
The ride is much smoother now and on our dippy potty rough ozy roads, its way better . Plus the steering actually has feel now. i also find i am cornering faster and easier than before.

The Merc techs were actually quite impressed and surprised how good it is. However, they did warn me never to run the engine on a hoist as the rear wheels hang down further now and the tyres would contact the side skirts ! they said this is due to the longer travel of the Koni shocks vs the stock ones

So no jumping it! but really i would never do that anyway but still.

All in all i am very happy with the Ground control kit so far but am looking forward to it settling in and getting the final height ,shock settings and alignment done.

Rob at Needswings was very helpfull in my decision making and supply as well, Thanks Rob

Keep the reviews and feedback coming. This is still on my to do list as I want to drop the car 1" all the way around to close the fender gap. Other Crossfire things have popped up recently that took my fun suspension money but sooner or later, I will be doing this.

Still on my radar as well. I have a big build right now, so I have plenty time to read the reviews.

Doc, (and others) stay away from the race spring rates. (1200 and 900lb) Way too stiff for the street and track for that matter. Once our cars are lowered we have very little suspension travel (front mostly) and the only way to engineer around the problem is create space (big hammers) or real stiff springs. I'm going to ditch the stiff springs and try something closer to the K&W spring rates. Which means another set of shocks, darn it. I love the perch/spring jack set up, miles ahead of the K&W's. The K&W's were 630lb front and 480lb rear I believe. Also the sperical bearings ARE a race item. They need regular maintenance or they make noise. For the street I'd just change the camber arms.

They have every spring rate you could ever need. Every kit is tailored to your car. Tell them how you use your car, what modifications, tires, rims, brakes, sway bars, etc. and what you think you want and they will match the rates to the usage. I wanted full race and that's what I got. The tracks in the states are not the same as what I run on. Here they're slick, dirty, and mostly flat. I have spring rates for Sebring or Daytona with lots of grip. My mistake.

I just told Rob i wanted a better ride and handling with it lowered an inch. he recommended the Touring springs/sport konis. i like em. but i would like to know their spring rates ?
anyhow with my tyres at 36 psi the ride is smoooth and comfortable as yet still well controlled and i think it handles better or is just easier to drive spiritedly.
it is not lowered much yet and the konis are halfway.
in case these springs 'settle' i just need to drive it more before i lower it to where id like it sit.

You could look at your springs as they have numbers painted on them that indicate the length/width/lbs.
Mine are 0800/250/1200 front and 0600/225/900 rear. I may be wrong on the length of the rear springs, I'll check to be sure.
