Default Slight Exhaust level Change

Hi Guys,
I am not unhappy with the stock exhaust but would like to know is there anything you can do (or buy ) what would add a LITTLE more tone to the exhaust. Nothing loud and NOTHING with drone......been down that road before with other cars. Stock is just a little too quiet.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

I went the extreme route on my SRT... Removed the rear cats and "H" pipe and replaced them with an "X" pipe. Removed my muffler entirely and left the resonator intact, which is now my muffler, well sort of. Welded a "Wicked Flow" exhaust tip out the back. No drone at all because if the "X" pipe, but at WOT it sounds like an uncorked Ferrari!

I'd just delete the back CATs, that should give you a slightly deeper tone and just a bit louder also. I am deleting the CATs and also the resonator but going with a small inline resonator but keeping the stock muffler.

"No drone at all because of the "X" pipe, but at WOT it sounds like an uncorked Ferrari!"

WOT is normally Waste Of Time so what does it mean here?

Guess I'm the weirdo here for not wanting a change with the exhaust note. I'm way more content hearing the SC whine.

Yah, most likely that is what I will end up doing, hate changing something that I kind of like already and then being disappointed with the results. What sounds good to one person doesn't always sound good to another.
Will have to think about it.

On my V8 crossfire I have no cats, no resonator I still have the srt6 muffler, also have 3" exhaust from engine back , with 2.5" from engine to a 3" header type exhaust manifold. had to have the exhaust manifold made as no one makes headers for the V8, No drone, and has a nice,, louder than the v6 sound.

Jim, let us know how that inline resonator works out and which one you go with. I've got a little drone I'd like to have gone.

I already have it, I just haven't gotten around to welding everything up yet. I got the short (12in) from YONAKA, which is about 16 in overall and beautifully polished. I, too, am going from 21/4 s into a single 3in with the resonator being the 3 in model. I am having to do a lot of work to polish the rest of the system to come up to Yonakas' level.

This may help myself and many others. I'm going to start another thread as to not hijack this one. Please post your results once you get it installed. Thanks!

I will be interested as well. I removed my stock resonator & it had a slight drone. But when I installed NW cat delete it became unbearable!
So looking for a replacement.

Replace/insert a "X" pipe where the secondary cats and "H" pipe are/were located. No more drone. Got mine here (2.25" SS)...

Online performance car parts site Performance-Curve.com carries Nissan performan - Search - Page 2

Thanks for listing the pipe size, I wasn't sure what it was?
So you have no cats & no resonator & the x-pipe completely cleared up the drone?
Awesome that will be my next mod.

I have no cats, H-pipe or muffler. I do have the resonator still installed and it now acts as my muffler. And yes the X-pipe completely cleared up any drone.

I don't have any sound clips yet but here a clip from another XF with the muffler delete that sound exactly like mine...
