Default Advice sought.

Got my baby again and would you believe it, she still leaks oil from the diff input pinion seal, and makes a small whine around the 60 to 65 mph range. I am going to ***** and moan tomorrow with the car yard as its still under the original warranty. I have noticed my rear tires are wearing rapidly on the inside more and when i go round a curve and hit a bump in the road the car actually jumps a little to one side. looking at the back end it seems the rears are like toe in? should the yard have done a 4 wheel alignment when they reinstalled the diff?

Not sure how Australia's automotive shops or what you call "yards" work. But out here if you pay a shop to do work on a car and they don't do it right, you take it back and have them make it right.

An alignment is a great idea to have done and sounds to me with your description, it should of been done after the install. But they are going to need to fix that leak first

You absolutely need to get a four wheel alignment after removing and reinstalling the rear end.

Investigate rear camber arms before the alignment.

if the same diff wasn't reinstalled and a different diff was then you have to shim the bearing to get the correct backlash . this accounts for the diff whine and the reason the seal is still leaking. since you don't have to change any of the alignment adjustments to remove the diff theres no need to realign if its right the first time

If you are thinking of adding mods.... Plan B
Get a price for the job off them and ...then drop in a wavetrak and tell them you'll spot the difference....
PS - Wavetrak delivery ill take approx. 2-3 weeks from memory
Unfortunately Ozzie dollar is down in the doldrums ATM.

If you aren't thinking of adding mods and just want to appreciate the car for what it is...Plan A.
