Default Dealer had one...then

I was at the dealer getting my wife's jeep serviced on Saturday, when a salesman tells me they only had one SRT-6 come in and it wasn't there very long. A father came in and bought it for his 16 year old son! No further comment.

Yeah, I think he really must hate that kid! Must have a big life insurance policy.

I think some teenagers can handle powerful cars. My 16 y/o brother got my modded SRT-4 just three months after he got his license. My car has broken pretty deep into the 13s at the track. I know my brother is responsible with the car. When I got the SRT-4 I just turned 17. I was responsible with it just as my brother is now. My dad showed us that there are places to speed and places to drive safe. He takes both of us to the track at least 5 or 6 times a year so we can drive the cars safely. I'm only 19 now and I am driving a 2004 Crossfire. Insurance is actually inexpensive, $55 a month. My younger brothers is not too bad on the SRT-4, but it helps that his main car is listed as a 96' Grand Cherokee (my new winter car).

The only problem I see with this is that the dad just dropped $50K on a car for his 16 y/o son. Who in their right mind gives something this expensive to their kid for a first car. How about buy him a SRT-4 or SRT-8 charger and put the other $20K+ in the bank. Same performance and sweet looks for half the price.
