Default Slow Throttle Response

Hi Guys... I really appreciate this forum so much. I often just read to learn more about these great vehicles. I am experiencing what feels to me like a very slow response to my throttle. It reminds me of the old days of carburetors and having a bad accelerator pump... step and nothing, then a moment or two later it then responds. Is this the norm with the electronic set up as opposed to a cable/mechanical arrangement, or is there a way I can get a faster response when I step on the pedal? Thanks for all your experience and wisdom. I have a 2005 SRT6 with 49K miles.

Have you tried the throttle reset? Do a search on this sight.

I wasn't aware that there was a "list" of resettable things... I'll try it tomorrow.

BTW, has anyone tried the PCR "performance chip" replacement and if so, what were the results? Thanks!

I had the ECU tuned by Eurocharged and I installed a sprint booster and I do a throttle reset.

The chips are snake oil. A Sprint Booster will enhance the throttle lag. A tune will give you a bit more horsepower.

DO the throttle reset outlined in the forum. After that, you MIGHT want to do the slight performances outlined in the forum that has realized a modest improvement. IF this isn't to your satisfaction and you think there is a problem, come back and expound on your results and expectations?
