Default Preferred glass cleaner & cloth?

When I picked up my car from the dealer service department it was filthy inside and out. Since I was having work done on the outside of the car, I don't understand how the inside got so filthy - it's not like they were working on the seat or the radio or something that could've kicked up indoor dust. I got it washed (outside) but really noticed the inside problem while night driving last night - there was almost a haze on the inside of the windshield, and on the rearview mirror, and it really hampered my visibility. Today I used drugstore glass cleaner (Windex or 409) and not surprisingly it left streaks. I think the streak free advertising is B.S.. What is your preferred liquid for cleaning the glass on the inside of your Crossfire, and what do you use to wipe it - washcloth, paper towel, newspaper? I've even seen people use coffee filters. I'll use anything that will get it streak free.

The best results I get are from Meguiar's NXT Glass Cleaner and Stoner Invisible Glass with a micro fiber towel, or as a second choice, using paper towels. Both are ammonia free and safe to use on tinted windows.

Windex and paper towels work just fine for me.

i prefer 3M foam glass cleaner or castle foam glass cleaner... combined with a lint-free blue surgical towel to remove cleaner.

fyi - never wash glass in the direct sunlight... unless you love streaks.

The stoner invisible glass (the foam kind) seems to clean the best. I've never tried the 3M cleaner that andrew suggested, but I'm sure it works just as well.

Over my many years I have tried just about all the brands (including those listed in the thread). I have found nothing works better than plain old water.

I use a clean wet-damp cloth to clean and an old towel (no fabric softener) to dry. No worries about chemicals on the different finishes and it is always streak free!

Prima Glass Cleaner found @ decocarcare.com. I've tried many different products throughout the years, from Eagle One, Stoners, Armor all, Klasse, Sonus, etc...This stuff seems to work the best and it does not produce much overspray. Upon application, I prefer to spray my micro fiber cloth with the glass cleaner, and then wipe the glass to ensure that no cleaner gets onto the paint.

As for the micro fiber towel of choice, many like to use a waffle weave. I am currently absolutely amazed by my Wal-Mart Micro fiber glass cleaning towels found in the KITCHEN SECTION, not the automotive section. They are very plain looking, but they leave no residue behind at all. It is not a waffle weave pattern, it has a very smooth texture. They leave absolutely no lint behind either, not like some of my other micro fiber towels, and they are a great price too, I believe between 1 and 3 dollars for two.

1/3 alcohol
1/3 vinegar
1/3 distilled water

I don't say it smells like petunias, but my wife and I always keep a squirt bottle handy. It cuts dog slobber, sublimated vinyl, tree sap, you name it.

Water and newspaper works well.
I smoke which makes water useless.
I use spray away ammonia free cleaner and black and white newspaper.
I finish it up with a microfiber towel.
