Default Soap Bubbles

I wash my car with a name brand auto soap, but never get consistent lather. Either if holds up great through an entire wash, or the bubbles are gone by the time I walk from the stationary tub to the car.

Anyone have a tried & true method of filling the bucket?

Crisis,

The bubbles and the lather should not matter. The soap is dissolved in the water and should get the job done regardless of whether there is any lather or bubbles. Whatever you do, do not use Dawn as your regular wash. It will strip the wax and should only be used when that is the desired effect.

I have tried almost every brand of car wash soap. Go to the local walmart, autozone, discount auto, etc. and purchase Meguiars Deep Crystal Wash. It comes in a bright pink bottle. Works great.

I've tried a bunch, but I always come back to Turtle Wax brand Zip Wax Car Wash. It comes in a huge 64 ounce bottle, about $8 @ Walmart. I don't lose suds, but if I did, I'd just add more soap and lather it up again with the spray nozzle. I like lots of suds to help float away the dirt.

The worst I've ever tried was Zymol!

Also, the blue wash mitts that Walmart carries are great!

Car wash soaps always will loose there bubbles if they are not stimulated with a pressured water source over time. When I wash, I tend to just put the car wash soap in a bucket filled half-way with water, then spray the bucket with water for a few seconds to get the suds working.

I've used many car wash soaps over the years and I find that Griots carwash soap is the best. You need about 2 oz for a standard wash bucket (I have the one from Pep Boys) and filled about 3/4 of the way. This products is VERY concentrated, so it will last you a long time, so don't let the $30.00 a gallon price scare you, trust me, this is what your looking for.

I have been using the Meguiars in the purple jug. It has nice suds that seem to hold up well. Dawn will de wax your car so do not use it unless you use it for that purpose. I use a blower to get the excess water off the car and then towel dry with a 100% cotton towel.

DAWN WILL ALSO SOFTEN THE CLEARCOAT, ITS MADE TO CUT GREASE SO WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY PUT IN THAT STUFF.

This is why I don't agree with Zaino and their use of Dawn in their own directions, crazy!
