Default Need help with Random Obitial Polisher

I have been looking at purchasing the Porter Cable Random Obitial Polisher for use on my cars. My question about pad styles. I see 2 types advertised. One with what looks to be a velco backing plate and the other has a so called quick release hex adapter. Does anyone have any opinions of one or the other? Just looking for some experience before I make my purchase.
Thanks, to all. This is my first post here, but have enjoyed reading everybodys input. Look forward to posting more.

Stick with the velcro backing plates and velcro backed pads. Autodetalingsolutions.com has some package deals right now on the Meguiar's G100 polisher, pads, polish, etc with some great prices. The G100 is just the Meguiar's branded Porter Cable 7424 but they give a lifetime replacement warranty with it. Not too shabby.

Ditto on the velcro pads. Easy to use and change. Definitely the way to go.

Ditto on the Velcro Pads as well. I for one prefer a high speed buffer over the orbital ones. The paint on Crossfires is of high enough quality and durability that it is difficult to burn the paint. I just prefer them, personal taste I suppose.

I have both types. I like them both but prefer the quick release pads better. it's just a matter of preference.
