Wow! Over two pages of posts and only two or three products mentioned?? Let me add to the diversification of this thread:
Autogylm Tyre Dressing!!
It seems to have a good shine character to it. I'll post a pic of it in my gallery after I'm done writing this. I have NEVER experienced spin-off after over a year and a half of using it. The gel version gives off an even wetter shine. To create a wet shine, with this product you can LAYER the amount of product you want.

BUT, with all tire dressings, the level of shine varies from tire to tire because different tire dressings react differently to different tire compounds. What works well for one tire might not produce the same level of shine with another tire (this is from my experiences).

I have (2) in my arsenal, one is the Mequiars Endurance and the second is Griots tire shine. The Griots stuff is like a thick, black gel and is more expensive than the Mequiars but does last a good long time. I find that it doesn't sling up on the car as much, but you've gotta apply it thin which is pretty easy as its thick. The Mequiars is also good and has a more "pop" but you've gotta/should apply it thin as well. I'm going to try the Armor All gel, well, when I can find it.

Something to consider when using the tire foams/spray silicone tire stuff...overspray all over your car.

Good point Aero on the overspray...to combat this, I just apply my dressing on an old meguires foam pad you get from Walmart for about $2. As for the Armor All Extreme Tire Shine stuff...I DESPISE IT!!!

The shine of the stuff is decent, but what really turns me off about this product (it's the new armorall tire dressing stuff in the orange squeeze bottle, right?) is that it is frustrating to apply, imo. Why? Because when you first apply the product, you really can't see where you are applying the product. You actually see the product on the tire after a couple of seconds. There is a delay before the product becomes visible on the tire. That is frustrating to me. It lowers the level of control that you have and it makes it harder to see what spots you miss. And then, to top that off, I feel the shine is very inconsistent. Oh well. Maybe I tried the wrong stuff???

i apply with a round foam pad as well... just be sure to wipe the excess dressing off the rim lip (dust collector).

Very happy with the product from Meguiars.
We used to have both the low sheen (which is a lavender color) as well as the Endurance shine (deep purple). For some reason we don't get the low sheen anymore, I wonder why. BTW, am I on the only person who notices that the Endurance smells like grapes???
