Default Vinyl on core support/finished surfaces in engine bay

Thoughts on doing this? I have some areas on the core support and other painted surfaces that simply will NOT come clean.

Rather than repaint, and risk overspray, do you think it would be easy to implement just some white vinyl applied on areas away from heat? Assuming proper alcohol prep, of course...

Think of it as a "clear bra" for underhood...

There is a lot of heat buildup under there even when not close to the engine...worth a try I quess...I usually just mask everything off and touch up that way...old newspapers and masking tape...can cover a lot of ground....

Have you tried an abrasive paint cleaner? Not a wimpy swirl remover but something with a bit of bite.

Haven't tried anything with a grit yet... mainly solvents up to this point.

The heat buildup was the very thing I was worried about... I don't want to be a rolling carcinogen.
