Concrete Rash on Front Bumper
I goofed up a while ago in a parking garage and very lightly scraped the passenger side of my front bumper on a concrete pole while backing out, avoiding my neighbor who was over the line. I do not have much experience with a buffer, but I have borrowed one and have not attempted to take it out yet. What kind of product do I need to use to try and polish out this rash before taking it to a shop? I can provide a photo if necessary, but wanted to ask in advance. Thanks for the help!
I'm no expert on bodywork, but I do know the bumper cover isn't an easy fix if you got down into it deeply. If just a scuff, you might be able to buff it out. I am sure our body shop guys on here will help you out, but photos are always a must...
I don't think I got into it too deeply. If I rub spit into it, it makes it not as noticible for as long as it takes it to dry. If I rub my finger across, I can feel it, but ever so slightly. Here are a couple of pictures. They, of course, are intensified because i had to use flash.

Go to walmart, autozone, advanced and pick up nufinish they have car polish and stuff for scratches its an orange bottle
wash
polish
scratch stuff
polish
you may want to pick up an orbital buffer home depot has one for 24 bucks this may take a while it would be about the same maybe a little more to have it done professionally no more than 65 bucks i wouldn't think at least not here in pa.
I used this same method on my back bumper i had an elderly lady bump into me with her lincoln and the her bumper left similar marks. An hour of polish and scratch remover you couldn't tell it happened.

Thanks, jmk41, for the reply. I tried your method today, using the supplies you mentioned and borrowing a buffer from a friend. I spent about an hour and a half repeating the process, muting the scratch a bit, but not fully eliminating it. Attached is a photo for reference--you can still see scratches.
Any other input or ideas? Thanks.

I agree with the statement above the clear coat on these cars is very thin any car these days to be more accurate. Nufinish scratch remover is wicked stuff those scratches must be pretty deep. I had a run in with a deer this spring and while the shop had my car I had them paint front and rear bumpers side skirts all the rock chip areas and for a clear I went and bought this heavy duty stuff they use on the fiberglass freightliner front ends have yet to get any chips or nics and they have tarred and chipped my road this summer!
