Meguiars nxt tech wax ??????
I am considering using Meguiars nxt tech wax, I read the directions, it said spread over the entire car, let haze, the polish off?
1- Just spread it over the car? no rubbing like using a polish or other waxes?
2- Put all over the car? Is it difficult to remove?
3- What is your experience with this product ?
Thanks,
Joe Parisi

i just used this product on my son's Ford Probe. Nice product easy to use, easy to remove. He applied it and as it dried I went along behind and buffed it off with soft microfibre cloth. looks good. Used the Eagle One Nano wax on my baby today, nice deep shine!
It's a nice product.
Good shine, If you keep your car in the garage or wax it often. Doesn't hold up well. Another good thing about it is that it doesn't stain the rubber parts.

I used Meguiars nxt tech wax on my XF last fall. It worked really well and was easy to put on, for sure. The first thing I tried on my car was the Crystal Guard everyone was talking about on the forum right after I found it. It was pretty expensive, very easy to put on(you just spray it on the wet car before you dry it off), but it didn't leave it with that slippery surface you get after waxing. It DID bead up really well, so it must have been working, but I didn't slide off the fender when I leaned on it. The Meguiars did a better job of doing that. Then I saw a picture of Buckeyedad42's black car and it looked like a mirror. He said he used Liquid Glass on it. I bought some of that product but it hasn't been nice enough here outdoors for me to try it on the car. My car is the white alabaster, and I don't think it looks as the metal flaked colors can. The Liquid Glass claims to offer a life-time protection after 2 coats so I'm thinking it probably does a good job of actually protecting the paint, not just making it shiny.
Hoping for some nice weather(It snowed here about a foot this past weekend) so I can go out and try it. If you already bought the Meguiars nxt tech wax, I would use it. Harry 7 is right about it not staining the rubber parts. That's a BIG plus!

The nxt car wash is the best I have ever used. We have really hard water here and it spots very easily. But not with this wash. My test car is a 35 yr old black mercedes I was amazed. I was going to use nufinish on the crossfire but after reading this post I think I will try the Meguiars. if its any thing like the wash.
I tried it on my alabaster crossfire today. It went on and off easily, I am not impressed with the shine but it is rainy here today so maybe it is just the lighting. Did not seem to fill in the swirls like I thought it would.
I have used NXT from Meguiars for a full year now. Meguiars had sent some trial bottles to a local classic car dealer and he let me try it on my Cobra. Since using it I am hooked.
NXT can, with multiple thin coats, actually hide and minimize fine swirls in your paint.
It is very easy to put on an take off. There is virtually NO abrasive in this product and as such it is not a cleaner / wax / polish.
Even though it states to not use it on rubber, it really does a nice job on window rubber and hard dark moldings. I am on my third bottle of the wax. I also have the spray on NXT wax and the NXT detailer spritzer. I think I saw recently a tub can of NXT but did not buy that.
This is a great product and I would certainly suggest you try it. (BTW, I was a long time ZAINO Bros. user and have just about totally switched to NXT). I still love the ZAINO tire dressing... it is the best.

i've used nxt the past year. overall i like it. the price is high at around $14 a bottle, but it is applied in very thin coats so one bottle can do 8-10 waxings of a crossfire.
i found it very easy to apply with the included sponge applicator. it smells good too. as stated already it's not a cleaner wax or polish, so it isn't good for removing contaminants sticking to the paint. but it's fine for a surface that is already in very clean condition. it's nice that you can apply it to the entire car at one time. it is removed easily and doesn't create any of the chalky dust that many waxes and polishes (like nu-finish) will leave behind. i remove it using a cotton towel and have noticed that after wiping the dried wax away initially the finish will look a little "greasy" or "waxy". but after buffing with the towel back and forth a couple times any residue is removed and the finish will look great. as far as longevity is concerned, it's really hard to tell. my impression is that it lasts longer than meguiar's gold wax, but i've heard some say it doesn't last as long. but how in the world can you tell? it seems that some of the slickness goes away after a few days but that doesn't mean the wax still isn't there protecting. i've been applying a coat of wax every 2 months or so. as far as filling in fine scratches, nxt claims to be able to do it. my impression is that it does to some degree even though there will always be some deeper swirl marks. i've never seen a car finish without some swirl marks. i'm not sure it's even possible to eliminate all swirl marks without seriously degrading the clearcoat thickness.
one thing i'd like to see is what happens if you were to expose identical car finishes treated with different polishes/waxes (applied at some interval) to the same elements for a lengthy period of time (say 5-10 years) and with a control sample without any treatment at all. i'd bet some cars have durable enough paint that you'd be able to clean them all up at the end of the experiment and apply any old wax and the finish would look good. on the other hand, i'd bet that some car finishes would look pretty bad no matter how often you polished them. in some cases the clearcoats are probably so soft that simply drying the vehicles and applying/removing the polish or wax will do damage.

I've been using Mequiars products for years, but recently have switched to Griots Garage. I do keep the Mequiars NXT on the shelf though because its a great product and like everyone else has said, VERY easy to use. It says to leave the product on for about 15 minutes, so what I do is wax the entire vehicle and then take it off. Sometimes I even let it sit longer and it still comes off very easy. As far as how long it last, I don't know because I detail my rides very often, like on rainy days, but I'd say if you were to apply it once in the spring and again in the fall, you should be ok. If you looking for something equivalent to this, try Griots Garage Paint Sealant www.griotsgarage.com
Hmmm...my friend just bought NXT wax. And he doesn't like it that much, simply because he says that the removal of the product is much more difficult than when removing P21S wax. I personally have not tried NXT wax, but right after my friend used the wax, he showed me the results...the car seemed brighter than with the P21S but the NXT lacked the wet look and depth of shine provided by the P21S.
