Whatever you use you must try it out in some unseen area first. I would suggest GOO GONE, tried in an obscure spot first though.

No, I haven't. I think Dave has the right idea with the Goo Gone

3M has a product called adhesive release or adhesive remover, can’t remember which it is. I’ve had good luck with it on paint and plastic.

Had to go refill my glass so I went to the garage and took a photo.

I think that can is probably 20 to 25 years old. Space Age Paint is a huge auto body supply not far from my house. It is in two large buildings and half of one building is dedicated to automotive fasteners. They have some antique race cars and motorcycles scattered around in the buildings. Cool place

When the prices are on a shelf label I have found them wrong more times than not!

Dave, will def apply the different 'tests' on a hidden area, don't want to disfigure (melt?) anywhere in a visible place (where this is currently mounted/remounted).

One thing about the Goo Gone, it is not advised for leather. Does anyone know for a fact if the dash/console sides are vinyl or leather?

It’s paint, this is not a Rolls Royce. 😄
If the paint comes off it will show black.

On my 2006 Ford F-150, the original owner apparently had what looked like an OBD engine monitoring device attached to the dash pad by the DS "A" Pillar & removed it when he traded the truck. I used Goo-B-Gone in very light applications to remove the adhesive footprint that was still visible.
