warranty problems
I'm interested in putting in an ECU, pulley and intake to increase the horsepower of my srt6. However it's only got 4,000 miles on it and I have an extended warranty. Are dealers trying to void warranties based upon such additions? I would like to hear others experiences with this. Also what maker of after market products would you recommend?

I'm sure any chance they can get to void your warranty they'll take it. so what yourself and what you tell them at service time!
D/C will try and void your warranty at the drop of a hat. Do yourself a favor and keep it as stock as possible until either a) your warranty runs out or b) you are willing to take on the financial risk making the mods. Either way, don't Expect D/C to warranty repair anything you've been "playing" with.
If you're worried about warranty, I would scrap the ECU and pulley ideas.
As far as exhaust, I've never heard of a warranty being voided by a catback. It's when you start messing with headers, cats, 02 sensors, etc. that the dealer starts to get uppity.

I work as a Finance Manager at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep store. You can modify parts of the vehicle, but naturally - DCX will only warranty factory parts. Another quirk to be aware of is if the modification had an adverse effect on another part i.e., an aftermarket supercharger would add more power to the engine, and would be harder on the driveline, they will follow the trail and any "affected" part is also void under warranty.
So just be aware of the ripple effect that is caused by any subsequent modification.
As a side note, a funny story - we had a customer who purchased a honda civic from us a year ago. About 3-4 months ago, he came into the service drive with a blown motor. Upon inspection, the service techs found a great amount of sand in his engine. We eventually found out he was trying to "port and polish" the motor by putting sand into his intake... lol... Needless to say, an instant classic.
