hmm... wish I was local I would of gave my car in by now... this seems like a very interesting project and another performance opportunity for us... surprised why no one has volunteered yet... I would definitely love to have these headers built...

How about you guys partner with Speed Innovation once you get the headers done. I have their stage I kit and wouldn't mind having them do more work on my car.
Never thought of it, maybe in the future when this project get rolling!

So far all of the Mercedes mapping has been done by the customers. They data log on the dyno and street , send the info and ecu out, and start all over again until A/F is dialed in. No one in AZ offers in house ecu mapping for these cars yet.

cjspecial,

I'm moving to AZ on the 25th of July with my xfire. And I would love to get headers and anything else performance wise.

We have an SLK32 coming in for the same type of situation, along with a SLK63. While the SLK32 engine is similar, there are differences, so a new header design is warranted. You can view pics at: www.flooredfab.com. We are always looking to help out in anyway we can!
If you don't have anybody by July you can use my car, in fact I don't plan to use it much at all in AZ because I will live at work, as I do my military training there from July to December.

That would be great! Another member offered to bring his down sometime in June. If for some reason, they can't make it down... we would be honored if you allowed us to use your car!

This was accomplished with retuning the ecu for the headers. The long tube headers with the proper collector create so much scavenging, that it can create a positive increase in intake manifold pressure and fools the engine into thinking its larger that it actually is!

Thanks for the reply Chris. If you have not found anyone else yet, I will stop by next week Tuesday or Wednesday.

Stever - We appreciate you coming by and haven't had anyone come down yet. Our shop is in the second row of buildings behind the main strip mall on broadway. Enter the complex on the third entrance, you'll see Autozone on the right hand side when you enter. Turn left behind the first row of buildings and come to the back of the shop...suite 308.
Physical address is 638 W. Broadway Rd. See you next week!

Chris - thanks again for the reply. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it there this week. I got home from Italy this past Sunday and ever since I have felt like crap and had a 100+ temperature at times. Today was my best day. I will shoot for stopping by early next week.

"Kooks" headers for the LSx and Hemi cars are around $1,300 bucks...

Yes it's all reasonable pricing. I'm sure WRX and EVO parts are just as expensive as BMW and Mercedes tuner parts.

Come on guys get that car over to the shop so they can start jigging up headers.

It has been awhile since there was an update to this thread.

Has anyone stepped up and brought their car in? Any kind of ETA on anything?
