Unhappy Check Engine Light On

So today it comes on. I go by the dealer and he says MAF Sensor is shot.
He also said it was because of the set up on short ram filters i have on.
He replaced it under warranty but advised going back to stock set up.

What do you guys think? Short ram filters kill MAF Sensor???
Or maybe it was something else?

if the filters are over oiled... the excess oil flows into the mas and destroys it... this may be the case.

~ usually they come pre-oiled from the manufacture... at least this is the case for k&n filters.
