Guys and Guyettes,

I've been reading so many different stories that I'm getting dizzy on performance. I've heard this about Borla and that about Magnaflow, this about this chip this about that chip and this about what Lil Johnny told Laura in the back of the Chevy from a neighbors cat... Geez... I'm dizzy and need help to stop spinning. If you were willing to spend $1,000 - $1,500 to get a guaranteed 20 Hp for your Crossfire is it possible and what do I need to do? I was hoping that if I found a chip and changed the exhaust I could get the results that I wanted. Is there anyone that ACTUALLY HAS DONE IT that can assist? Thanks guys...

Why don't you see if you can participate in Lantana,TX and I modding on our crossfires. We both bring different things to the table and the more helpful hands the better. You will need to be willing to get dirty, work long hours and be ready for possibly a lot of failures before we reach the stages we want to meet, but if you really become one of the team you will end up with a lot more RWHP & RWTQ than you thought you would end up with.

Unfortunately...they are correct...any mods that will produce a verifiable 20+ HP gain will have to be fabricated by those who know what they are doing. There are many threads on the subject and LantanaTX has the right idea, and from what I can tell the ability. I am looking forward to seeing what can be achieved through his endeavors. I am seriously thinking of dropping $18k - $24k and getting the Startech/Brabus 3.8S or 6.1 v8 upgrade this coming Spring. I am hoping that LantanaTX can come up with something more economical.

Xfire2005, This Bud's For You (grinning)... I Love The Changed Front And Just Picked Up The Car. It's Nice And I Will Say This Burtman Can Do No Wrong In My Book. He Kept Me Updated, Answered Every Question I Had And Supplied Me With Everything I Needed To Make The Transaction Great. I Love The Price Of The Mesh Grille But Honestly Wish It Was About $1,500. So I Wouldn't Have To Worry About More People Getting It. By Yourself One Just Please Don't Drive In Texas... He...he...he... Also Thanks All You Guys For Answering.. Welcome to the forum - the car looks nice, I would like to suggest the clear front side markers. I think that would be look good with the mods you have done. The stock yellow seems to stick out and the clears would tend to blend in.

 

Your car looks great and should work perfect for catching the women!

we will need to get together still so we can tell war stories on our car modding adventures and you can tell us all those "the one that got away!" stories.
