I have a feeling this muffler is being discontinued. I can't find this muffler for sale anywhere. I hope all the hype is worth it because I just blew a good chunk of change on a muffler.

yes, I'm well aware that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that one size does not fit all ... but the odds are in your favor, given the positive experience of the more than a dozen of us who've made the switch to date.
From the video/audio clips I heard, that is the sound I am looking for. Sounds like a 2000 Lotus Esprit I drove with a small Turbocharged V8. I had checked out a few other mufflers but I'll take everyones word for it and I'll go for the European sound.

1. Paul is the director of business development. THe fact that he even takes our calls for orders shows that he has commitment to people and not just a business deal. During my chat with him he confirmed that. If I were in charge of biz dev I surely would not wast time taking orders for a $200 muffler.
2. These mufflers were originally $350 a piece and the profit on these is long gone. Selling 10 or 15 or whatever number of mufflers like this is definitely not going to pay the bills at Ansa.
3. Ansa is a top notch company with a great deal of r&d behind thier products so you are not only getting a great deal but a muffler often found on only exotics. And for how much only $2bills that is a deal.
So to summarize "me thinks Paul is a pretty good guy for tryin to help us out". A master of marketing yes, but not a dumb one. Selling these at about cost is not a way to make money. He and I discussed these very points. Even if he sold 100 of these how much money would he make if he was making even $50 profit per muffler? 5 grand? That is peanuts to a company like Ansa. Trust me this is not a money maker for Ansa. Lets be thankful that we are getting a great deal on these and smile!

I think Ansa has been a great company to deal with. When I was looking to put the first Ansa on a Crossfire we were actually looking at a differnt model that they had a good supply of them. But that other universal muffler was just a little to long to work in the Crossfire. They were a little disappointed because the one I ended up with was the only one in stock at the time and while they were hoping to create a market for the Crossfire, they were not sure if the muffler we are all using now would stay in production. Thankfully they were able to get more which many of you are now enjoying. I never dealt with Paul but was dealing with a lady who runs the office. She was very honest about the sketchy supply of these mufflers. If you are considering this muffler, I would get one while you can. If you wait, you may be left out or waiting a long time for a new order to be manufactured and sent over from Italy. I have not heard a sweater sound coming from the a$$ end of a Crossfire.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Ansa is a great muffler and worth every penny....maybe more. I think Paul is a great guy too, I really enjoyed my conversations with him. All I'm saying is anyone who can move old stock is truly an asset to their employer. Maybe if Paul had worked for DC the Crossfire wouldn't have ended up on Overstock.com?
I have just received my Ansa muffler. The overall quality is ok. The metal is thick and the welds are great but the chrome pipes are obviously crooked and one is longer than the other. There are also a couple dents in the chrome pipe. I hope these aren't visible after installation.

If you have a problem with yours dont hesitate to let Paul know as he is a very good guy.
Mine was not as perfect as well but nothing a significant as dents in my pipe.
Thanks
Nate
I went to a muffler shop yesterday and they gave me a hard time about putting this muffler on. I'm having it installed right now at a different place and they did nothing but complain.
