Default New Exhaust Muffler Removal

Hey guys, I was just wondering yalls opinion on removing my muffler and keeping the the stock tips and just putting a straight pipe. Like substituting the muffler for straight pipes. Has anyone done this? How does it sound? Is it possible?

I would think it wouldn't void the warranty....but I'm not positive.

What I am positive of is this.......if they are not a good dealership, and don't want to work on your Mercedes powered car, (which there seems to be a lot of) they can say you willingly altered your car causing detrimental things to happen.

"By removing the exhaust you caused the backpressure to change thereby burning the exhaust valves causing them to make that ticking sound."

I'm not saying that is what will happen......I'm just saying don't be surprised if it does!

Yea, I see what your saying Apkano..I have a pretty good relationship with my dealership here..I know the manager pretty well because my car has been through some very rough stuff hah. They have a crossfire technician that is extremely knowledable and all in all a cool guy..so I dont think I would have too much of a problem, but I will be aware..thankyou

Look under my name as I have done several changes. I tried playing with an empty muffler and it did nothing positive so I went to straight stainless Y pipe, happy I did, Woody

He has resonators on the end of both pipes though.
I shot this video at Woodward last year and mbepic sent me the photos.

I did EXACTLY what you mentioned. No muffler. It sounded like a pile or rasp and ***.

Ended up puting a Magnaflow 14x4 round canister on it. Sounds MUCH better now.
