FMIC is Front mount Intercooler, I will start out at 5psi. My eventual goal will be maybe 7 psi. What do you guys think about the Holset HX40 Turbo? Too big? I was thinking about keeping the turbo on the large side to reduce intake temperature.

The HX40's exhaust side is wayyy too big. Talk about turbo lag...

I have a twin turbo v8 fiero, I know a little bit about taking advice from those who don't know and pretend to know. Call a good turbo supplier and give them your spec's. Use a quality ball bearing turbo, if you use a cheap E-bay turbo it will eat your engine. ie.. compressor wheel breaks and goes into cylinder.

I have already bought A squire turbo system as well as the same liquid to air intercooler on the srt6/with new resovoir and methanol injection kit, I know this setup will work. But just like everyone els haveing the problem with the ecu tuning. Im about to just say screw it and count my losses and get a SRT-6 but really dont want to unless I have no other choice. My Tuner says he has a frind whos wife speeks german and will look online to see what there doing over there with it and everythang but still wateing on word about that. Ill let you guys know if I find anythang

what are the problems, the 2.8 ECU will adjust to 5-6 psi, and split second sells the piggy back computer that will allow you to retard and advance the timing if you want more boost. but I doubt you'll get more than 8 psi at 10:1 compression without real race gas.

Like I've been told, if you want a race machine, get a used crossfire or srt6 from the auction, gut it and rip the electronic out, then buy yourself a commuter car that get 30mpg.

Installing a thicker gasket is not the answer to reducing compression. Yes it will reduce compression but your quench the distance between piston and head will be greatly affected. I don't know what it is on our engine but on a sbc it's .035" + / - any thing else and you risk detonation.

Is the split second piggy back computer OBD II compliant?

yea got to make mine legal so might just spend some cash on Greddy e-Manage Utimate and see if my tuner can play around with it and make it work. Would suck to lose out on 1k + if it dont but its eather this or just trade it in for a SRT-6 and lose out around 7k

I don't see why a greddy is legal, your tampering with emmisions. nothing legal about it.

the good thing about SplitSecond ecu is it's damn cheap and works!
