i had a 86 shelby charger when i was 16, thing was bad ***, lol, anyway hope this is fixed soon. and everyones problems are solved easily.

 

did the na guys replace your horn up front or fit it, because my intake fit just fine with everything in place.

 

the horn CAN be left but the install is easier to move it over.

the na tweak is working great so far i just want to get a few more miles on it before i start building the retrofit's for you guys

 

I had put over 125 miles on the car no CEL, i dynoed the car this weekend, 180 WHP at 5000RPM, and 198WTQ from 2500 to 4000 RPM it just sat up there for awhile, came down after 4000 RPM.

After the dyno on my way home from our open house show. the CEL came back on.

Has anyone actually read the check engine light? Is it a high maf input P0103 light? If so it is not unusual for a car to have that light appear, most ecu's will learn and then it will go away after a while.

(edit: just went back and read and seen it was a hanging idle issue too. did you guys check to make sure you did not have a vac leak?)

my light didnt come on until about 150+ miles.. i disconected the battery for around 4 hours and the light is gone...150+ miles later and still no light.. it does idle a little rough however!

 

after i disconnected my battery the first time, the car had a rough idle then it smoothed out and next thing i know the light was back on.

 

Rob, any update ? I do not want to remove the CAI. If I have to send my ECU to program I will. Thanks you for the hard work and being professional for all of us NA guys. We know you will find the fix.

 

i hear ya, i would love to get my nitrous mounted instead of looking at it everyday and it would be great if i didn't have to remove the intake, just get the new part and then install it and send back the old part or whatever the problem is after installing the right one,i don't believe it has anything to do with the ecu but idk, would solve my problem of waiting to proceed with my plans and would be much easier because of work and time to change parts out again, just all around easier, but yeah thanks for sticking with it rob, hopefully you can help us out with this. and soon

 

we put one more twist into the na intake today on the test car, i think thats the last tweak we will need to solve all of this and the retrofit should be very easy. i appologise for the time it takes to re-test the readings after we make changes as it needs ~ 200 miles. this is absolutly on the top of my list and has my full attention.

 

is this extra twist gonna make a difference on how the intake performs.

 

it should improve but we'll have to test that also (you guys can choose to wait for the new dyno or i can get you going asap, ill email everyone the skinny on how we will work this once were ready)

 

well it looks like i spoke a bit too soon.. my check engine light came back on this morning.. it took another 200 miles before it came on for the second time though.

 

It will most likely always come back on with the na Crossfires and mostly in slow or near idle driving conditions.

 

i am not waiting for dyno numbers i wanna be going asap, hopefully this works and doesn't throw the code again in the long run. As of now it doesn't matter if you unplug the battery or anything like that it will come back on guys its a waste of tim to keep trying things, it needs to be worked out it is something with the intake and our cars so doing that will not solve the problem. its just a temporary fix it will be back on. also if this does not work out rob and the problem comes back will there be a full refund because this is a problem there is no getting around with the engine light on. Hopefully it is all figured out and good to go but if not just making sure, because that is what i will be requesting if it doesn't work this time and the light comes back after the new parts. but also i believe i have asked before why would this only be happening with some and not all? makes me wonder because arent they all set up the same throughout the years made?

 

My CEL came on after about 100miles.
I disconnected the battery and about 100miles after that it came on again.
Since the CEL last came on I have been about 100miles and it is now OFF.

I wonder if the ECU has been able to 'retune' itself to within limits or something like that?
Maybe they had ECU's from different suppliers and only ones from certain suppliers are throwing the codes. May be a simple anomaly like that.

 

All SRT6's do not have a MAF sensor in the intake.
All na Crossfires do have a MAF sensor in the intake.
I believe only these 13 are sold so far for the na
