#1 for sure, it is the best option for us, just send us the completed modified intake we can swap over and send the one we have right back out to you. i mean there isn't too many people experiencing the problems so help us out rob. . we have been patient, lol. i do want mine powdercoated so it looks like it does now, i just don't mind the new coupler as others do so soon as it is cut and powdercoated i should be good to go. right

I realize this is something Rob is jumping through hoops to accomplish. I for one will not forget the effort an professional manner this was handled. NeedWings will be my #1 source for improvements that I will obtain going forward.

I too share the feelings stated by dbg55 here.
thanks for the words guys.
as for cutting them, at this point by the time i got a new piece to attatch made and then powdercoated the entire new tubes will be done. if you wanted to paint the new piece in say black to blend in i could get one of those out much sooner if your going for the quickest solution but we cant powdercoat just one small piece in black as they have a $250 minimum at the powdercoating company. you could rattle can it with high temp black engine paint also but that depends on how well you can paint (i wouldnt be happy with it the way i spray paint, lol) hit me up on aim, it shows your offline now.

I like the original silver powdercoat look.
I would be happy with the new mandrel tube to have the same finish.
I hope this doesn't completely dig into your profit and leave you in the negative $$ when complete.
I hope you only have a few to redo and didn't produce inventory before discovering this MAF issue.

I liked the look of the first unit. The silver one piece would be great. I will however paint the original elbow behind the grill black. I purchased the mesh grill and I would prefer this be hidden on my black roadster
i agree, we may in the future have that piece powdercoated black instead so it isnt as notcable without the grill on the car (or a see thru grill), that will be a little while off tho.
its probably going to be about 2 weeks by the time the tubing gets finished being mandrel bent, sandblasted, welded, and then powdercoated before shipping

A few weeks more for a quality product seems reasonable.
