I noticed today that my radiator cooling fan blows away from the radiator and toward the engine.
Is this correct ??
Please post your knowledge here as I am unsure.

I never noticed this before and have driven 17000 trouble free miles with the temp always reading about half way (center) on the gage.
It was 90 degrees today and I had the A/C on and when I got home I looked under the hood before I turned the car off and noticed this.
I guess in theory it could be pulling heat away from the radiator but I always thought it was blowing air onto the radiator.
I guess I have never looked at this on any other car before either.

I have attached photos with a arrow of the rotation of the fan blade and the direction of the airflow.
These pics were taken form the passenger side looking toward the front of the car.

 

The most effective way to remove heat from a radiator or heat source is to PULL heat from it. And not just in the auto industry.

If it was to PUSH air towards the radiator, then driving down the road would oppose the natural air flow.

PS The one exception to this rule I am aware of is on a fork lift. The engine faces backwards and pushes air through the radiator and out the back grille/counterweight.

 

Your fans are working normally. The fan is pulling air through the radiator.

 

Oh no!!! Gary, you've got the fan from a Right Hand Drive Crossfire!!! You're gonna have to drive on the left side of the road until you can get the fan reversed, or ship it to England to have the autocircumcaufigating rotiserie unit's polarity switched. Sounds expensive.
