Well just got back. What we're looking at is a nice increase in both bore and stroke with a sleeve. With the way the stock cylinders are coated it is more cost effective to use a sleeve then bore and get recoated.

The block is built for FI and lots of nitrous in mind, so basically it will be strong.

We're starting the research on how big we can go and what the total cost will be. Based off a rough estimate with the Machinist, we're looking at about 5k plus cost of block.

If everything goes like we want it to, we may be able to sell 3.7-4.0L sleeved and forged short blocks for 5500-6500. We are working with a salvage yard in PA to get as many good quality blocks as we can. New blocks will be an option, but MB prices aren't cheap.

We'll update when more info comes in.

So just a heads up for anyone looking to blow their motor anytime soon. DON'T!!

We had to order some bearings and they are $25.00 each, pistons $290.00, even the bolts were over $5.00 a piece.

After the initial fitting most of our shortblocks will be NON MB parts. ARP bolts, ACL bearings, and the other goodies will be custom. Surprisingly it should be a lot cheaper this way.

Main bearings? $25 each meaning pair or one single side? PS my buddy from work spent $100 EACH for wrist pins. They are pretty hardcore though, his motor should be making 2000 hp or so.

Part number lists it as one, and you need 8. $100 wrist pins for a 2k HP motor is fine, $25.00 main bearings for a 215 HP motor is ridiculous.
