Default Oil Leak from bottom of car

So I woke up this monring and my Thanksgiving started off great by discovering my crossfire was leaking oil profusely. The car has been sitting overnight and there is a gradual dripping oil leak. There is a dark oil stain all over the bottom of the pan. The oil never leaked until I took it to Texaco last month to get an oil change. Since leaving Texaco the cars check oil light has been coming on ever since and now this morning there is oil all over the ground and the bottom of the guard or pan. What do you guys think would be the cause of this? Can I hold them liable?

Thanks!

It might be the drain plug leaking. The washer on the plug may need to be replaced.

some oil change places are not aware that there is a o ring type washer that has to go around the plug before it is put back in. I believe this is your problem. at 100 bucks or more a pop (oil change) plus a couple thou. for a new motor. wonders never cease. There is also some o rings that go on the filter. any one of these can lead to failure. In any case, if you can prove they forgot to do something that caused failure, yes they are responsible for damages. (catch word is prove)
