Tired of having a low HP engine
Howdy bigguns,
You could stay away from the gym, and try losing some muscle, then your car would be quicker!
Seriously, I drove a SRT-6 this weekend and while it's got lots more 'git, I'm still happy with my NA. I bought it as a cruiser and didn't plan on doing stoplight drag racing with rice rockets.
Is anyone else out with a NA crossfire fed up with the low amount of horsepower the engine puts out.
Don't get me wrong I love the car... I guess it's just not enough anymore.
Why would anyone put such a weak engine in such a beautiful car???
I put on a CAI and to tell you the truth the power is hardly noticeable. Despite what some people say specifically the people who sell them most of the power gain is in your head (placebo effect IMO).
I guess I am just venting. I know nissan just released the 370 Z that is making 333 hp.
There are upgrades available but lets be honest most of them do not make much of a difference.
I'm just venting....Maybe I need to buy a different car because it is too hard to supercharge this one.
I am tired of having a car that looks fast but can't perform.

Thought about going the speed limit to see what the mileage would be - only thought about it. I for one ain't complaining. Plenty of pep and a whole lotta fun, and an economy car to boot. The fun part reminded me on why I bought it in the first place.

The full tune gained an average of 16 RWTQ throughout the entire band and a little over 7 RWHP from 3k up.
There is a lot to be done with these engines you just have to realize that you are working with a 3.2L v6.

What type of headers did you have on this machine?
Brian.

This sound like the kind of power that would make me very happy!
If I had the CAI & headers!
How much would it cost to get that tune done to my ECU?
Well you know I guess this is all about what a person bought, I bought a sports car and to take the twisties fast and do what sports cars do mine is just fine but some bought what they thought was a muscle car and sorry it just ain't a 1/4 mile car although if you have not driven a SRT you might try one, its close.

The headers were VRP, but we may have something for you in the very near future...
Well I have a 2004 and have been most pleased with the balance of power and handling. Took it to Willow Springs in 2006 (Spring Fling, Van Nuys Mopar Show) . . . was great on the road course. My buddy had his 2006 5.7 Hemi Charger . . . I was pulling away from him in all corners. Only spot it felt weak, was hitting the straight, could not get the speed up and the Charger would pull closer - but then the turns hit and I would pull away !!!
Course the best part was that I drove the car 3,300 miles round trip, hit the track, hit the car show and enjoyed it all ! Only spent $248 total on fuel too !!! All seems right in my books !
I would suggest, if you love the Crossfire, but want more Ummpfff . . .why not get an SRT6 ?? Aren't those supposed to be "The Bomb" ??? I would love one . . .but am most happy with my NA 6speed.
Cheers
Mark
