I did not use a bracket. It is designed for more airflo, do not know if a different can be felt. I only had the other k&n cone on there for a day then went with the rx-2820
IDK if neuspeed makes one for the x-fire put one in my VW has K&N filter with it....awsome check out if they make one.... again making a suggestion not saying anything bad about the x-fires just saying this product worked well for the vw and sure it would be nice compliment the x-fire... throatier sound...better acceleration!
yes it is a higher flowing filter which we were able to figure out how to fit behind the grill properly. the brackets we make are to move the p/s line so it will fit.
Hi Rob,
So if I purchase this filter to replace the one which came with your intake will I definately have to use the new bracket supplied?
Does this bracket just push the P/S line out of the way or is it completely relocating the P/S line (I can't see it in your pics)?
Any issues with engine temps etc due to the larger filter blocking the radiator?
I have a Limited.
Thanks.

I understand what heat shields do, but I'm refering to the engine/radiator temps - does the farger filter block/reduce the air flowing through the radiator therefor raising engine temps?
