Zero Throttle response
Every so often my NA LTD refuses to accelerate hard. After a second or so it allows me to G E N T L Y accelerate and if I turn the car off for a minute or two all is OK
Anyone had similiar issues?

I had the same problem the car would go into "limp mode" just very little throttle and after turning the car off and back on it would be fine, it turned out to be the TPS.

1. get in car, insert key 2. turn key to on but do not start 3. Hold down throttle to the floor for 5 seconds 4. Turn key to off position but do not remove key 5. wait 2 minutes for reset...you may have to try this more than once....good luck...
I know this is old, but have u ever figured out what was causing this? When I WOT , I lose all throttle completely, but when I turn the car off then on, it comes right back...but, it won't come back if my cars moving and I put it in N and restart the car, have to come to a complete stop.

I assume you have a SRT6, since this type of throttle response is related to the failure of the original water/fluid pumps that cool down the superchargers on the SRT6 models. The purpose of the pump is to cool down the supercharger, avoiding failure, this is heat related, causing the limp mode to avoid total failure of the supercharger/engine. The original pumps (Bosch) had a part number ending in 03. The revised Bosch pump's number is, 0 392 022 010.
This problem started in 2006/2007 and was discussed at that time.
When you turn off your engine and permit it to sit for a while, the engine cools down and the pump will work, until the next time it overheats and the pump fails again.
Buy a new pump.

I have just the 2005 Crossfire Base... and I only have to **** off my engine and fire it right back up and my throttle is back...but like I stated , for some wired reason, while moving and restarting, it doesn't work..

Bzak1pgh, Too many possible problems/solutions to just guess and throw parts at it. You can go to most any auto parts store and get the car scanned for free. With a diagnostic trouble code DTC you will have someplace to start making repairs. Try scanning the car as a Mercedes 2004 SLK 320. When you get the code be sure to write it down and get the exact code, not just some explanation, get the code.

P0123 The first one listed on your screen refers to the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP); The gas pedal. It has five wires at the connector #1 is 5 volt supply, #4 & 5 are the signal wires and #3 & 6 are the grounds and they all run to the PTCM. You can check each. Procedure is in the service manuals. Most people replace the pedal. This code can cause you to lose throttle response.
The lower code P0442refers to the Evaporative Emission System. It will cause hesitation at idle or rough idle when the PTCM activates a test of the system. Not a huge problem, but can be hard to correct.
Fix the APP problem first, clear the P0442 code and hope it doesn't come back. You can drive the car with a small leak in the Evap system and see if it causes any idle problems in the future.
You have scanned the car as a SRT6, but you have a base/limited. You should scan as a SLK 320 not AMG 32; Two different engines and a few other small differences ref scanning.
