Best mods for the buck?
Hello! First post here.
I have a 2004 stock 'Fire and want to enhance the performance. What would you guys say are the 3 best modifications in the order that I should pursue them?
remap ecu? intake? exhaust? sprintbooster (read mixed reviews about these)?
Thanks.

Id say CAI, exhaust, sprint booster. Ive never done a ecu remap so I have no opinion on that mod. Try tvt or needswings.

Do the ecu tune from InMotion -- great improvement, and it will really bring out the best in your future mods. Add the CAI and 74mm throttle body next and you've got great response and more power.
The Sprint Booster is only throttle "feel" not a real power improvement.
The exhaust helps a little if you've got the other mod's, but is more for sound otherwise.

To reiterate jediracer...
ECU tune/map last.
You don't state your budget, therefore I would suggest:
Air-intake (TVT or Needswings - TVT is cheaper)
Injectors (TVT)
ECU (TVT)
All available in the TVT265 kit - so really that's only ONE modification!!!

CAI would be the cheapest mod for an actual gain. 325.00 for about 12 HP.
ECU Tune is a great mod, but slightly more at 500.00. Gains are about 22 HP.
Sprint Booster retails for 315.00 and is a noticable difference, but no power gain.
Exhaust will change sound and look, but very little performance gain and about 500.00
Injectors are needed to optimize an ECU tune and Intake.

Thanks for the responses!!!
In reference to the budget comment, maybe I should set the parameters... I cannot afford to do the total TVT package all at once. I need to keep it reasonable and spread it out... Father's day and birthday should take care of it over the course of the summer!
Greenghost politely asked me not to repost material that can be found elsewhere, but these responses are a great example of why I posted in the first place: there isn't a clearcut consensus. That's probably because my budget wasn't explained... or is it just that there is more than one way?
I have heard do the ECU first from several people (not necessarily on here), do the ECU LAST from one on here. For one (me) who is a complete rookie, this is something that I'd like to not screw up, so your advice is definitely not falling on deaf ears.
At this point I was looking at this order:
1. ECU retune from Inmotion ($350 vs tvt's $500), and
2. the TVT CAI w/cover for $475.
3. ? ($____)
My logic revolves around available budget, not performance theory.
Again, thanks for the help.

Talk to the guy at InMotion -- I only did one "tune" knowing I was adding the other upgrades as I went along. It is definitley the base for all the other mod's to work their best.
If you want to save money, I did the TVT CAI without the engine cover -- just have a MB emblem on the intake manifold. Pic is in my gallery I think... You can add the cover later, but it of course does not improve performance !!!

Best and Cheapest
Do the stereo mod !! Cheap- only $5 or so. Cheap- you can enjoy it while sitting in the garage. Best- you will feel like you put in a real stereo and speakers. Best- you can imagine your going any speed down the road.
Search Stereo, best bang for the buck. You put in those little things capacitors or some other electrical thing I can't remember any more.
