Default radiator fan rubbing

Hi all

I heard a click from the motor and was a little worried at first but come to find that when the rad fan is running it has a spot that hits the plastic shroud, anyone else with this problem? is it easy enough to take apart and dremel the offending spot down???

as always thanks for any help!!

Maz

The fan should not be hitting anywhere on the shroud. Something is out of line if it is. The fan comes out VERY easily and you can pull it and check it out.

Disconnect the power plug on the drivers side, near the top, on the shroud. Pull the two clips holding the shroud to the radiator, top left and right. They just pop off. Tilt fan towards engine slightly and pull up. You will have to fiddle with the hose to get it clear of them, but it just pulls straight up. Good luck.

Mine actually fell off!! The car started to overheat and I took it in under warranty and the clips were gone. The fan was just laying in the engine bay!
