What is the build date on the xfires with cat failure, maybe same day or week?

I have all 4 off my V6 with 30,000 miles on them would take 100 each or make me an offer, then you can take it back to one of those shops and tell them,Here: replace it. lol. jim

You should replace them in pairs as one old one will flow less than a new one ,,in pairs like mine with 30,000 miles on all 4 .

do you still have the cats? I have my xfire in the shop right now with what may be the same issue... the shop said it was a "Broken left cat", and I would rather put an OEM full set on (and have the welds checked first and fixed if necessary) because as an aircraft mechanic, I know the issues of unbalancing the pressures... if so, email me please at my Id @gmail(dot)com

Wound up with the same problem on my left cat. Looks like a manufacturing defect. Took the pipe off and had the welder at work run a new bead all the way around. Worked like a charm. He said it looked like the alignment of the weld in relation to where the casing and the end cap meet, was off center. The right cat was just fine. Considering I've got 130k on the odo and this is the first thing to go wrong, I'm OK with that

I did check Rockauto.com just in case and they have the left one (20400), complete with the one front and both rear cats for around $280 plus shipping and it's a direct replacement. They also have the right for about $100 less.
