Ok I am still up in the air about what to do about my exhaust on my coupe. The Magnaflow 16633 is probably what I will go with. I like the look of the tips also. But I am affraid of the dreaded drone. I know some say it will go away and I hope that is true.

But if still too loud for me, has anyone added a resenator or small muffler somewhere in line to quiet it down somewhat? Is there room for that? What is your idea if I want it a tad quieter?

FP was afraid of the "droning" (if you want to call it that) as well........I let him drive my car at the WDC, now he has one installed too.

Maybe pick his mind a little.

 

I'm still loving mine. If you buy one, two good sources are:
UnderCarParts(1-888-986-3373) for $350 plus shipping. I got mine for $375. You have to call them and mention the Forum to get the deal; and PerformancePeddlers. It sounds like they have prices that are competitive?

You could compare the two and get the best price?

Let us know it you get it for less. I am thinking the free shipping won't apply in a best offer situation with PerformancePeddlers. But, $40 for shipping to you with WunderCarParts seems a bit high. The shipping comes directly from Magnaflow. Thought there was a whse in NJ?, CA, and another place. They should ship from the closest. You might want to question WunderCarParts about that?

 

If you are going to the Dragon or another meet, I suggest you drive a coupe and see how you like it. Like AP said, I was very concerned about the "drone", and now that I have it I think it sounds SWEET, and wish I would have done it earlier.

 

Thanks FP, If I had a roadster I would have already had one installed. I understand it is more noticable in the coupe. I did drive a few different setups at the Spring Dragon and thought it was too loud. But one thing I didn't realize at the time is that I wasn't driving it normal like I would around town.

As for price, the company on eBay will send one to my doorstep for $375. They advertise retail but will give you a price if you ask.

My Magnaflow 16633 was installed today! Drone... what drone... ? OK, at certain RPMs and speeds (around 60 MPH when pulling there is a slight drone) after that it's all sweet music!!

At least the tips are resonated. I need the resonators in my system due to the dreaded loud drone in mine. So hopefully this will help me out!
