Replace muffler with resonator
Has anyone had a custom exhaust made with a resonator instead of a muffler?
I have a Magnaflow muffler on my exhaust and when the guy bent the pipes last year he did a lot of bending some kinda unnecessary and the pipes are sort of kinked and bottle necked. The exhaust sounds great but is just a tad on the quiet side and I'm worried that my car doesn't run quite like she should. I do have the whole intact stock exhaust. I kept it in case I'd ever need it.
I've been thinking on just replacing the rear section with a straight pipe but I have second thoughts because the tone sounds great on videos I've seen until the car is pushed hard into the high RPMs and gets too raspy. I was thinking a decent resonator should keep the tone and cut down on the raspy-ness.
Any thoughts?
