I just did the same deal at Advance Auto Parts yesterday, they don't have a Mobil 1 filter for the Crossfire and almost didn't give me the deal so I told them I would put the oil back on the shelf. They went ahead and subsituted the Bosch fleece filter and give me that same price. The Bosch filter looks lust like the Mann filter to me, it is even stamped made in Germany.

Bosch=Mann since they joined several years ago as part of a joint venture.

I guess that explains why it looks just like a Mann filter. I thought I read that on here somewhre before but I wasn't sure. I bought 22 quarts of oil because I also picked up 12 quarts of Mobil 1 5w30 & 2 Mobil 1 filters for my Grand Cherokee. SO I guess he was looking at losing a big oil sale if he didn't work with me on it.

I tried doing this deal at autozone today and they didn't have a mobil 1 filter for the car (said that they dont make it or don't have it as order able etc.) so then asked about the bosch and he said the same.
What is the part number on the bosch filter?
And does anyone know a good autozone in Illinois that won't make this a hassle?

The Bosch part number is 72204, I can't help you on which Autozone to go to in Illinois because you're pretty far north of me.

I went to the AutoZone in Hanover Park when I was living there last year. They didn't hassle me. Even gave me good filters for no additional money.

AutoZone

Hanover Park, IL‎

Try this one. Don't remember how far that is from Palatine, but hey it might be worth the drive.

Thanks a lot, I'll have to check it out since the local one to me has an awful employee I keep getting caught with. Its a pretty close drive for me also.
