You should read the V8 Diary thread as the answer is there or let's have fun and you can keep guessing. By the way there are some nice shorty headers available for V8 Crossfires that are a bolt on replacement and reasonably priced!

Im going to try and build equal length headers for my car, since im not using the stock exhaust system i have a bit more room to play

I am running a magnaflow muffler with the larger oval tips, I think they fill out the opening more nicely than the round ones. My exhaust was less than half what the magnaflow catback cost and is the same, except 1. they can direct bolt on, no welding 2. they have a few extra feet of shiny stainless, but since it is the same size as OEM, there is no gain, only aesthetics. IMO the magnaflow muffler, when installed correctly, gives you all the gains and not all the $$$ out of pocket, been running it for over a year.
