Modifications
I'm new to the forums here. I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire, that I think is fairly quick and extremely beautiful. Although having owned it for over a year now I feel I need to get more out of it. I was wondering what initial and "simple" modifications I could begin with to improve performance. I am not racing it on a track, but I enjoy spirited driving on the roads. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I noticed a lot of knowledgable individuals on the forum who know what their talking about, and I couldn't think of anyone better to approach.
I was also interested in reducing break dust, and as far as I've heard "ceramic" brake pads are a good solution, however they lack braking power. My question here is "do they lack braking power as compared to the OEM's I have right now?", If not then I'm assuming it would be a good upgrade.
Thanks.

Regarding the Ceramic brakes, I have some fitted for exactly the same reason you mentioned, dust on the wheels. I have chromes fittted now, and found the investment of $100 and 1/2 hours work fitting, well worth the effort and cost. Dust is now almost Non Existant, and the braking power is unnoticable to me. While fitting the new pads, I also smartened up the calipers by painting Red and fitting of white AMG stickers, looks great.

Ceramic brake pads "donut effect breaking" and are a "grate bi".
Seriously, intake and tune are a good place to start for base and Limited drivers. Needswings can get you the intake, and Eurocharged can tune ya.
Later on you may want to get a polished and ported manifold, larger injectors, and you got it ... another tune

Talk with Rob at Needwings about the CAI. I have one for each of my XFs and love them. I also have the Eurocharged tune as well. Eurocharged has a remote tuning special for $265 currently. If you decide to go that route, I would suggest that you put on the CAI first and then get the tune. More info on the tune package:

Thanks a lot guys. Just ordered some Posi Quiet Ceramic Brake Pads, as well as the wire for the EuroCharged Tune that I'm going to schedule later this week. Looking into purchasing a Magnaflow CatBack, unfortunately the price seems to have gone up from the once infamous $350. Im keen on picking up the DCAI needswings however they are on the pricey side. Also it might be a waste as a CAI might just be appropriate. What do you guys think? And I'm open to any other suggestions!
Ps: Also curious about the rear diffusers available from Chrysler. Can anyone get them for under $200?
Thanks,
FJP
