Engine stuttering
Hi all,
For the past few weeks or so, my coupe (60,000) miles has started feeling like it has less acceleration. In addition, the engine seems like it hesitates from time to time when I give it the gas, and sometimes the response feels, for lack of a better word, uneven.
I believe Im due for a fuel filter swap. Would that likely fix the issue, or should I look into something else as well?
Thanks!

The last fuel filter that gave me trouble was on a '66 Mustang with a fuel filter 3/4" diameter and an inch long. I still have the filter and the car and I'm not sure which is in the best condition. The car has 69,000 miles on it and maybe the rust is in the filter as well.
It really is a shitty car but lovable.
Thank you for the suggestions. It is a 2005, just clicked over 60k miles.
Definitely going to pull the air filter and clean it this weekend, as well as check the CPS threads.
I was under the impression though that this car does not have actual plugs, but rather coil packs or some such. I'll check into that as well, but I hope its not that as I seem to recall that was somewhat expensive.

At 60k the plugs should be OK still, maybe clean and re gap though.

Thanks! I'll check that this weekend as well.
