I don't really know why you have a bad taste in your mouth in regards to dealing with us. We re-flashed your TCU for very cheap and had it back to you the same day. The problem with the shipping can not be blamed upon us. Please check the label on the box and you will see that it was in fact sent out the exact day I told you it was. I can not be held responsible for a shippers error. I hope that you can understand that I have done everything possible and would be more than willing to help in the future as well. I am always in contact with all of my customers and would be more than willing to assist with your problems or issues in the same.

Thank you!
Aleks

I spoke to Steve daily when he was waiting for the TCU. I recall him telling me of the unresponsiveness and that tracking info was promised, but only sent days after the TCU was supposedly shipped. Also, I remember Steve telling me the postmark showed it shipped days after what he was told. The TCU was not sent out the next day.

even though the evidence is starting to support these forum members claims i believe the only resolution and i hate to say this because i want these headers is that aleks and whomever else at speedriven will get **** and stop making progress on the build and no one will ever get headers for these darn cars...also i cant believe that a company wouldn't want to cash in on a gold mine of parts they could develop for these cars that have been missing for years?

I spoke with Aleks yesterday and he informed me that the headers are being built and he would have a write up in this forum next week with pictures. We will wait and see but I must give him and Speedriven the benefit of of a doubt that they will indeed complete this project.

If they refuse, we will go elsewhere. This is not rocket science. Speedriven is a great company and I have a great deal of respect for their products on the big V12 turbo motors. And if they follow through with this, I have no doubts the finished product will be exquisite. But, you must realize that this is a thorn in their ***. They won't make a fraction of the profits off these headers that they would normally see with their "elite" clientele. They could kill this project, refund the $$$ and never miss a beat. There is no "gold mine" with Crossfire owners. 90% of Crossfire owners want something for nothing -- a champagne taste and a beer budget. Ask me how I know...

While it wouldn't be the best option for us for Speedriven to abort the mission, headers can be made. It's not like we're making custom transmissions for these cars. VRP made the very headers Speedriven is copying/using as a template. The design is identical, and apparently they aren't making much power (just as the VRP ones did not). Three pipes per side, make them fit, hope for power.

I refuse to walk on egg-shells with any business that is taking my money. If they see it fit to kill the project, that's their choice. I'm not going to beg for a product from a company, no matter the application. I "need" these headers like I "need" a piece of cheesecake. Our POTUS insists we're still in a "recessed" economy. So, someone out there is thirsty... Someone will make it a priority. You only get good service from a company that NEEDS their customers. Once a company crosses the line from "fishing for clients" to "clients approaching them and forming a line", service level often drops.

I've been following this thread, only because when Rudy was on board at Speedriven last year, and he (they), agreed that my N/A coupe would make an ideal candidate for fitment of the headers. Since reading that Rudy was no longer with them, Most recently I decided that they would not be able to use my car, if they called me to tell me they were ready. I never said to them that I was withdrawing. Be that as it may .... in an earlier post Aleks stated that the "donor cars backed out". I did not back out.
More recently, he and Steve (32Krazy), have had their incident about the shipping.
I don't know Aleks, but over the years I trust what Steve states, and now feel that its very possible, that Aleks will tell any story to anyone that might get him out of a tight spot, and try to maintain his credibility. What I'm hearing at this point is not helping his credibilty issues.
Establishing trust in ones' company, starts with their service track record, and it's EMPLOYEES. The people in the "trenchs" (employees) can make or break a company. Speedriven needs to step up and take charge of this project and either refund $$ to anyone wishing to back-out, or make the project happen in the right way. Recent posts, indicating that headers would be produced with pictures by next week WITHOUT taking HP gains, by doing dyno runs before and after, was not was originally promised. I could be wrong about this, but this was the inference that Aleks post implied. Just sayin ......

I'm nervous but still on board. I waited a long time for the Wavetrac and we all know how terribly late it arrived. But I love it. At the end of the story, if the headers make decent power, Speedriven will have a successful product and people will forgive them the wait. Well, I will and I hope others too. Let's get them made and on our cars before erecting the cross to nail them to.

I am very sorry that this thread and these comments have been made about me. I have no credibility issues AT ALL. If ANYONE needs ANYTHING from myself or the company I will be sure it is taken care of.

I feel like mob mentality has run its route here and there is nothing I can say, but if any of you were to know me or know our company you would see that we would be VERY hurt by what was said about myself and the company. We are an extremely friendly and helpful group that would help anyone with anything, from our big $ turbo kits, to just advice over the phone. I am a car guy at heart and love to work around and with cars and love to help people with their passions as well.

In regards to Steve. I am not a liar, nor have I ever been. If I tell you that the item was sent when it was, it was absolutely the truth. Please see the below screenshots that reference when payment was made, and our ship date. They are the SAME day. I do feel bad about the shipper's error and I did everything in my power to make it right, but if you have ever worked with a shipping company in regards to problems you know it goes no where.

In regards to the headers. If ANYONE is unhappy with me I am sorry you feel this way. I came in with the intention of bringing a 6 month old project to life and I am rewarded with hateful comments. My offer still stands that if you do not believe that I will deliver the headers I will refund your deposit RIGHT NOW.

Speedriven and myself pride ourselves on outstanding customer service, amazing products, and cool projects. I am not a faceless man to a desk. If you need anything in regards to our company I WILL help you.

Thank you and there will be header updates next week.

Aleks

Once again Les, you speak the truth.

Speedriven is known for creating some awesome toys. The point I was trying to illustrate in my previous post was that the majority of the projects they take on are in the tens-of-thousands... each.

One V12 upgrade kit is more revenue than this entire header group buy. That's why I had my defenses up... I don't think they are attempting a scam, I simply think it's been a low-priority build when there are much bigger fish coming in. Instead of owning up to that, they've simply said "we're working on it". If you were a business, who would you serve first? One man paying $10,000+ for a V12 upgrade? Or a group of Crossfire enthusiasts that have paid a collective $1,000 for a project with low yield?

Aleks, we will give Speedriven the benefit of the doubt and hopefully will see some numbers soon. As I mentioned on MB world, if you guys need a test mule, I'm sure one could be found fairly quickly. Hell I'd offer mine up, but the eight hour drive (one way) is a bit much.

Cheers,

OK . ...as briefly as possible, Aleks has seemed to speak as a stand-up guy who had a couple of issues seemingly come and bite him in the a$$, and seems intent on working these issues out. Let me say that I have had personal service done at Speedriven when Rudy was there, and I was very satisfied. I agree that they are an established and trusted company and do outstanding work. My opinion now, is to give Speedriven a chance to make this happen, and let Aleks work on getting his work done, rather than spending so much time trying to defend what took place. However this situation works thru, I would bet that both Aleks and the members here, in the initial buy group, all have had a learning experience. Just sayin ..... OVER and OUT.

How soon have we forgotten the group buy headers that EuroCharged made us. We pressed then rushed EuroCharged to present us with something and got log style headers. We pressured them till something was made to fill orders to quiten us down. I got two sets that didn't fit. I asked for a refund and they sent me a FULL refund. I can't fully blame EuroCharged for making ill fitting headers and of a poor design because we pressured them into making a fast unsuitable product. I have no grief with EuroCharged !!!! Now we have another header vendor that's getting his A$$ chewed over a project he didn't even start. We should all feel fortunate that SpeedDriven was willing to keep this low profit project going. I hope that we can give only positive support to SpeedDriven and silence the negetave against them. Let's give them a chance to prove to us,what they have. Squirrel Crusher

as i said before i have no issue with speedriven at all. when you use terms like mob mentality you earn no points here. show me another forum were the members are as close knit as they are on here. you wont find it. we guard each others back and back each other up. since you choose to neither call nor email me about my original agreement ill take my refund back and go elsewere for a set of headers

You know there are only a handful of us who truely are going after HP when you think about it. We have a lot of new members coming on board everyday. My point, or beef it you will, is the impatience displayed when waiting on parts. The cars aren't made anymore. Parts, especially aftermarket performance parts aren't readily available. Never were. There are only a handful of shops out there that any of us can deal with, and we start **** like this. It's not going to happen overnight and you would think you would realize that. Go buy a Camaro, and JEGS, SUMMIT, etc will be glad to ship the next day. Hell, MB will ship the next day. John is right, there are a lot of places that will fab headers. Maybe not as cheap. I think the big word here is, CUSTOM. Everything we will do is just that. Custom made. You don't get things quickly when custom made. No one likes to be promised something and then not get it when promised. But, in the custom world, **** like this is going to happen. NO one is going to shut down their normal operation to make you anything. They will work it in. Just the way it is. It hasn't changed in the 40 years I have been around performance cars. Step back, and wait, or don't order the **** to begin with. I certainly don't need shops that are willing to work on cars, saying to hell with those guys. Of course if you are just going to keep your car a few years, you don't care. I'm keeping mine until I die. I do care. Speedriven is at least willing to finish a project that originally got off to a slow start. So what if you don't the headers for another month or two. You are still getting headers that you can't get anywhere else at the moment. I am sure as hell glad Rob at Needwings has patience, because he gets this **** too, and I am glad Rudy has patience, and the guys at Eurocharged, thanks, Jake. And now, Speedriven...enough rant, back to work for me....and don't bother to respond, I dont' care. I just care about our vendors who help me out all the time.

My first reaction when I found out what was going on (nothing) was rather strong. Now the ball is rolling again and I'm back in optimistic mode. I believe my local fabricator could make some great headers for me, but it would all depend on how much I want to spend. In other words, except the prototype or be willing to pay for dyno time, revisions, several instals and removals. Speedriven is in a much better position to do this for us. They have most likely seen every possible type of header for the V-6, V-8 and V-12 Mercedes engines so they should know what other companies have done and what power they make. A good starting point, agreed? As far as waiting, I've had to wait even from Rob at Needswings. He did give me and additional discount and some freebies for the inconvenience though. Rob has my business for life. I believe in 3 strikes your out so in my book Speedrivern has at least one swing left. Don't let us down Aleks. Win us over with great headers.

I was the 1st to sign up for these headers and am still patiently waiting for results. Rudy said he still had confidence in Speed Driven and the guy's that work there and that's good enough for me. I am confident they will deliver the best product they are able to this group and it will make us all happy in the end. (yes I am an optimist).

Don't take our silence as disinterest or unmeasured depth of patience. An update would be appreciated.
