Nothing personal Les...headers are a tricky thing...and I don't believe 20hp on the down pipes pipes either...exhaust tuning is an art...if not, everyone at the track would just run open headers....and, in the old days, they did just that, but not so much anymore... I will sit back and wait for the numbers...

I am in the same boat as Doc. I want to see the number first. Nothing against Rudy or Speedriven, but I want to see results. Plus I need to get the supercharger pulley and brakes upgraded on the Roadster.

Steve
If capital allowed I would be all over those calipers but money needs to go to tax/title and a super charger pulley.

The roadster will likely only get stainless lines, motul, better pads and rotors.

I would your set up on the coupe though!

I'm thinking they log in once a week, I've received nothing either.

While we have not responded letting everyone know we got their information, we did and best bet is to email me at rudy@speedriven.com if you have any questions that need immediate help. We are still waiting for more people to send in their information. We are at five so far so the quicker we get to ten, the faster we can start this.

Now here's the skinny on the deposit situation; we will send out PayPal invoices for $100 to those that request to be part of the initial run. If we don't receive a PM with the requested info, you won't be on the list. We start the R&D with 10 deposits and we build your set after we complete R&D and receive your full payment. If we get 20 deposits before we are done with R&D, the price of the initial run will go down. Deposits will go toward the cost of purchase of your set but are non-refundable should you not be able to complete your purchase. Order is not determined by place on list but rather when deposit was received and payment in full is received. NO ADDING YOURSELF TO THE LIST!!! Info needed is name, address, daytime phone number, email address, forum screen name and type of car (N/A or SRT)

If anyone has further questions, please contact Rudy @ rudy@speedriven.com or at 952-681-1000.
Now here is where you lose me. You have a set made already yet you want people to front money for the R&D. Really putting the cart before the horse here. Put numbers up and I'm sure they will sell but until then I doubt this gets off the ground. Just how I see it.

This isn't cart before the horse. The headers in the pictures are a customers set that were sent to us to as they were dissatisfied with the design and build quality and wanted to see if we could come up with something better. While they are a good start, they leave a lot on the table regarding the fitment and overall design. We could test these and post performance numbers but that would do nothing as the ones we make will have several key changes and will perform differently. And as for fronting money for R&D, 10 deposits doesn't even cover the costs of putting together the first set for testing. It's more of an indicator of those who really are serious about purchasing them knowing that while they will produce power, the extent of that power is unknown. And this isn't a bash at those that don't want to be part of the R&D on these, it's just that with this being such a limited market, we need to have a hard and fast number of people that are in on these and not going to back out.

What kind of deposit was it Rudy? And what was the final price for the first 10? I'm skeptical, you and I discussed this, but if great minds are all in, maybe you will find a way to make them long tube headers...shorties just aren't going to cut it. I haven't decided on an exhaust yet, and long tubes, would require some customization of the exhaust as well...give me your thoughts here. I sent you an email on the other mods as well. Good luck with this either way...glad you guys are willing to tackle it...

If you select the first set they are for a 5.7L hemi and the second say they fit the LSX engine.....of everyone know we don't run either of those engines in a crossfire.

I've been gone too long. I'm going to call my mechanic tomorrow for an install price and, if the price is right, I will certainly give my deposit. Cars need Christmas too!

I am not in on this one, but they will be quality headers, and will match up with Needswings down pipes. That is a plus for those who just want to buy and bolt on. I'm a long tube guy, so until we have time to tackle that project, I will pass...but, none of you will go wrong with this set up...

Doc, I'll let you know my numbers when I get mine, whenever that is. You'll end up with these too eventually I'll bet.

I know how much faster my car is with the downpipes open; I know my dyno numbers opened and closed and without. I know how my buddies E55 improved with headers. I know if Speedriven does them right, yes I have faith, I'll be happy. A few more risk takers and away we go!

It's off topic but I keep mentioning them to illustrate how much a supercharged engine loves a free flowing exhaust. I added a teflon Y pipe and the downpipes and picked up over 20 hp with the cutouts open. Over 10 with the cutouts closed. A well designed and tested short tube header is tough on our cars but if anyone can do it, I want them.
