HI Oil Warning Question
I searched past threads about this warning but did not see my circumstances.
I had the oil changed about three months ago on my 2004 and was told they used Mobile 0-40 oil. Today I got the first HI oil level warning. Any idea what is causing it to suddenly appear without having a recent oil change?
Thanks

If you have access to a Topsider you can suck out some of the oil...... but the fact that it has been 3 months since an oil change and the Hi warning and increased oil level would indicate that something else has changed....
You could drain the oil into a pan and see if there is anything in it that you cant see on the dipstick....

My car did that after oil change and 2500 miles., took oil out, put oil in, showed hi then low. Mine. has a defective sending unit. Also the oil level was very hard to read on stick i had to look in owners manual before i figured out how to read level

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm experiencing the same thing. Got oil changed about a month ago and now I'm getting the HI oil warning and it looks high on the dipstick.
