So I know this thread seems pretty much dead, I am going to ask if there is any update? The garage I might be working for in the future seems to be darn confident they will get a working turbo system for it.

Not for a NA , and no they still can not get it to work , been a lot of shops out that have tried , but forced air and the M112 motor do not play nice , standing still a turbo work fine, seen a lot those but running down the road NO , and ya I have had my car over 11 years and there reason why it dose not have turbo on it because it dose not work , and dropping a lot money into something that will not work, you could buy SRT6

Latest update...

"DJ,
She seems to be running okay. An oil drain line leak again. Turbo response is very quick and back to what I wanted.

No "feel" to it yet as air/fuel still needs tinkering. After it "feels" okay, I will try to put 100 miles on it quickly.

We will need to go over all nuts, bolts, clamps and fittings, then clean it up.

I am moderately hopeful.
corky"

I'm guessin' a couple of more weeks and she'll be done!!

Right. BTW, I have some prime swap land in Florida for sale ........

Question : Is Corky really gonna have the nerve to try and charge you anything if and when you go to pick it up ?

Being a trusting person I paid in advance.
Think the best he could do is refund the $$$ when/if he delivers the car.
Over the last (almost) 5 years I 've kept and paid the insurance and registration current so I'm out that also.

The things I go through for you guys lol!

Yea, five years storage at a conservative $50/month = $3000.00
Plus a $30 car wash, $3030.00 - get yer checkbook ready. ( that's 112 RCM fixes )

We are getting close to a thousand posts in this thread and it is not all of the story, nothing positive in it at all.
What a bummer.
But in another two weeks or at the most another five years it will all be solved.

UPDATE!

DJ,

A little progress and a touch of success. *Somewhat encouraging.

The new turbo makes boost quite well. *Air and fuel are behaving well.

We had one incident that required a call to Brandon Grantham ( the fellow from Colorado springs that lent me a hand).

A lapse of function in a secondary "pump" caused a check engine light to show and put the car in limp home mode.

On/off with the ignition and cleaning a couple terminals........no repeat yet.

Trouble with the seats, neither will move and we've not yet figured it out. *

I'll get miles on it asap, but today was rain and more predicted. *

Five psi, the wastegate is stable, it is very responsive and very quick. *We are cleaning it up presently. *If it behaves

and makes 100 miles, I'll ship it home. *Give me three or four days. *I won't hold it up for the seat malfunction.

It feels a little strange to be pleased with it. *Pray for the easy 100.

corky

DJ..... Glad to see you posting. Well, just an update. I do have a gear change, but it isn't working well. Let's hope it doesn't take me this long to get mine running right. Glad you may get your car back. I still need to send you my spare RCM to be fixed and ready for that day the roadster or coupe fails. Hope everything else is going well. Since you are asking for the seat fix, is the car in your possession again?

Nope.. last I was told.. didn't have money to refund them.. and they wouldn't do refunds till the project was completed.. maybe that's why it's taken a couple weeks longer..

Man... Well, I have been there and done that....still doesn't make you feel good. I hope DJ gets something out of it... I am not that patient. I am just trying to finish the coupe and move on to other things. I am losing interest quickly. I may go off the deep end and sell them both....lol.

Can someone forward me Corky's contact info? I'm not back so to speak, but I got the rotrex running perfectly before a death in the family changed everything. Seeing this pop back up makes me want to see what I can do to help. I found the "secret sauce" so I might as well share it and see if it nudges corky in the right direction.
