BEGi Turbo Kit information/discussion thread
Good thing we aren't allowed to make political statements defining where I've heard this idea before..
Anybody know where I can get me a free cell phone?
But anyways - not that it will happen - I'd be more than happy to send an email "realeasing" my deposit to DJ for his expenses .. If he wants to talk to Corky.. maybe take a bat with him.. Just say the word if it's doable deal.
DAMNIT... just realized that statement could get me thrown out of my own "CAB" club..

Political....um no. Nor did I read any other posts suggesting DJ being offered the deposits.
ips in columbus oh. built a full twin turbo kit for the e55 v8 motor in less than 4 months. after a falling out with the owner over costs it was removed and buckhead imports bought the kit and it is now installed on craig hawkins e55 total time for the install, 2 days! tuning starts this week and the car should be road ready by the end of the week. so it can be done!
I wanted to revive this comment.
I've been following the thread like crazy since what I'm doing with Bart is very similar and it's crazy because long story short... They gave up, it didn't work.
Oil blow by, and the car fell on it's face at 5500 RPM no matter what they did. This made me nervous to send out my completed work for Bart because a) this is what Bart's car was doing when I left Canada (along with running lean which the 32K ECU would fix) and b) I didn't want him to have to send it back, and resend, and back and forth and waist tons of money.
I've been talking to Bryan about it today as well as a ton of others and I'm pretty confident in what Bryan told me. They lack sufficient crankcase ventilation and the MAP they're using is insufficient.
I just wanted everyone to know that even with the proper ECU there's still hoops to jump through, but believe me, Bart's will be up and going soon and the 320 guys will have a solution for boost.
Start legal avenue if car is not returned by end of this month.
Probably gonna cost me more $$$ just to get my car back.
Guessing it won't be running whenever I do get it back.

Although I was really hopeful for his build...
Pictures. Went with under the hood instead of rear mount.
Two more weeks ought to do it.

From Cork
DJ,
I thought I would be able to finish up the fabrication on this thing
today, but not so.
The week was not real productive as I had several unexpected visitors.
Regardless, with the
bypass vent tube almost done, I noticed I'd forgotten the alternator
bracket for its lower mount.
With the work of today, I caught up and got in plenty of progress, but
neither the vent tube or the
alt mount are actually finished.
By the end of this week I expect to have it all back apart and do the
surface finishes.

Will you be able to replace your spark plugs? Hopefully it is an easy disconnect to get to them.

I guess 4psi is better than no psi..

Haven't seen anything lately .. but wonder where Josh is on BJames ecu tune. May have to go that route to finish this girl up..
I'm getting there. I feel horrible for Bart, because I almost feel like I'm pulling a Corky. I was ready to send Barts ECU back, it was in the box with schematics and resistors, but then new info came to light and I've been working with a dude in Maryland and a couple of guys spread out all over trying to figure out a problem I'm not sure we even have. It's gotten to the point where I'm going to just send it, and if it doesn't work I'll pay the shipping for another try. I'm just worried about it getting sent back and forth. We did that before and it gets reallllll expensive real quick.
I think I will have Valk shut this down, so another thread can follow that build. DJ has his own thread of giving up on this build. What do you all think?
Honestly Doc, I think we should leave it for a little bit longer. Maybe Corky's pulled his head out of his ***.
