Close this thread.. new thread pops up.. "Two more weeks".. so what's accomplished? Unless turbo talk .. or lack of.. becomes the same as a political thread.. it's going to be here.

A few members above referenced going to the shop, maybe they are close enough to stop by for you?

I would take a flat bed or trailer either way...

More important than a trailer is a video camera to document everything - condition, conversations, you name it. I've also been wondering - are you still paying insurance and registration fees on the car while it was in his shop? Seems like that'd be pretty easy to claim in a suit, if it came to that.

Insurance, registration has been paid the entire time ($$).
Yep. Video would be sweeeeet. Awhile back someone text me a photo of the car parked out front of the building. Wonder if he's just been driving it all this time???

Just for you man....but, if he's been plumbing on it, who knows what lurks under there.... Problem I see, if he's broke, parts aren't going to come quickly, and the build won't be finished quickly. And, we are talking about your car only. He would never open his mouth to take on another one, whether he finishes yours or not... Hell, who would? It's been 5yrs, and haven't seen a working running N/A yet? I have seen a working and running turboed SRT6....I will see it again in a few days.... OH, and the 5 yrs isn't for ole' Bell, but for the idea to concept... Plenty of ideas and no concept. I am thinking the V-8 swap is easier and cheaper....and according to Josh, 2 weeks to 2 weeks....making a month...pressure is on Josh. I don't want to see anymore 2 week bullshit....

No pressure here lol, at my original estimate I could bring a friend on board to help me and we could do it in a weekend like mine, everything fabricated and ready before hand, but at my new cost for the V8 swap I wont profit enough to push that hard. I'd miss out on my time with the kids, which isn't happening. Plus time for parts to get here. The engine shipping companies can run into serious problems sometimes. The average between my estimate's, 3 weeks by myself, is a much better guess.

Seeing the turbo setup that I've seen on an NA, 2 weeks should never have been brought up lol. I'd guess 6 months unless that's all you do, all day, everyday. Tons of fab.

I am kidding Josh, and yes, I knew from the get go, he wasn't going to produce anything credible without putting a man on it full time. He'd have burnt thru 3500 in shop labor and parts in 3 weeks. And, not have a running car. Because he would need a young guru like you to figure out tuning. Time to move this thread on once DJ says he's ready. No good news or anything good coming from it. It doesn't help the new people coming on here. It just confuses the issue more. I am sure there would be warnings if he were to try this again, but isn't going to happen. Over stepped his promise, and it seems at a bad financial time as well. Not good timing on his part. I have seen shops do that around here as well. and didn't end well for them either. Josh, I would want a supercharged V-8 btw....lol

I knew you were Doc, just clearing it all up just in case someone else didn't know you were lol.

I agree, once DJ gives the word and we get our deposits, we drop BEGi from discussion, and burn this thread down.

Umm.. you want this thread permanently open? DJ getting his car back.. yeah..one way or the other.. deposits returned.. I'm not holding my breath. Not worth me traveling there for a small claims lawsuit .. and I'll bet he's counting on that with everyone.

Yeah, true. All over $200. Would it be too much to ask for some morale? Lol

What a clusterf**k that place is.
If DJ's car is not driveable, I suggest that all of the $200 deposits should go to him to help get the car back to stock and anything left gets dispersed from there....just saying and NO I don't have any skin in this game.

Good thing we aren't allowed to make political statements defining where I've heard this idea before..

Anybody know where I can get me a free cell phone?

But anyways - not that it will happen - I'd be more than happy to send an email "realeasing" my deposit to DJ for his expenses .. If he wants to talk to Corky.. maybe take a bat with him.. Just say the word if it's doable deal.

DAMNIT... just realized that statement could get me thrown out of my own "CAB" club..

You are getting dangerously close to losing your membership.
I haven't convened the board yet though, I'll keep an eye on you for a while.

do not know how it is there where corrky is located, but here in california you can go to the dmv.
here they have a dept. that investigates auto dealerships, repair shops or anything auto.
seems if all involved filed complaints hopefully there might be some positive outcome.
just my $0.02 as i didn't get into this.

Wow That Miata is a **** show similar to other things that joke of a shop has done. DJ hope your car is in better shape than this supposed MX5 w/ 350Z motor. In all honestly who are these idiots that thinks jamming a off brand motor in their cars is a good idea. Am I the only one that feels a Mazda engine goes into a Mazda, a Nissan into a Nissan and on and one.
