'Thunk' when engaging clutch at low RPM in first gear?
Title question!
Car drives and shifts beautifully for the most part, but at low RPM's (2 - 3k) in first gear, if I have my foot off of the gas entirely and depress the clutch, there's a fairly loud 'thunk' from the transmission. It's sort of unsettling and reasonably loud. It's not a scary 'oh my god something broke' noise, but a definite thunk and it feels a little 'unnatural'. I figured I should ask - do these cars have really 'heavy' first gears, or some such? I imagine that if there was a major issue that there'd be noise/shuddering at any RPM whenever I engaged the clutch, regardless of gear.
Apologies if this is a silly question; I'm very new to the car (as in a week, and that's it).
