2006 Crossfire P0425 Code
2006 Crossfire P0425 Code
Hello Again,
So I fixed the P0410 code by changing out the little blue one way valve on the secondary air pump system. Now I'm getting a P0425 code. This car sits a lot and I think that's part of the problem, it needs to be driven. Anyway, what do you guys suggest I do? I was thinking go out and drive it and get it hot maybe the code will just go away lol, wishful thinking I know. The code says:
– Open or short in the optical sensor circuit – Optical sensor connector – Damaged optical sensor – Damaged PCM or ECM The Error code is generally activated on detection of the following conditions: Some high resolution pulses are missing from the optical sensor to the PCM
Thanks,
Frank

Re: 2006 Crossfire P0425 Code
Try "Mercedes P0425" before you waste a lot of time and money. DO NOT EVER search Chrysler, the emissions codes generated by a Crossfire are not Chrysler's.
And if you look at the bottom of the page you got that misinformation, you will see that the Crossfire is not included in the list of "applicable vehicles".

I"d be willing to bet that, with that many codes, you have not seen the end of this. In any case, one thing that some forum members have had luck with, is going to Google and typing this:
"Mercedes SLK320 Pxxxx Code"
Insert your code in place of the x's. Posts on Benzworld tend to be very helpful in such cases. In fact, you will see a lot of RCM and SKREEM issues over there, same as here, but let Google find them for you.
