Default Turbo Charging a XF Limited?

Will a generic Turbo fit on a 2005 XF Limited? I assume it's more complicated than that or I would see/read about more people with N/A XFires that have that Mod done. Sorry if this is a noob question, just curious. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice so far guys. I've checked out that thread and the other links you have posted for me, I've done the google search, and checked out the BEGi site. I guess what I am asking is what is the model turbo that these guys make that fits and functions well on a XF Limited. All I saw were turbos labeled for Miatas, and a few "universal" turbos but had no clue from what the BEGi site had posted about them which one could be put on my XF.

BEGi is still developing the turbo kit for the NA Crossfire. So you wont likely see which model they use until they are done..... and it will be the only kit available for our car.....

Hello Sir. I see that You did not really do any Homework before Buying one of the best little cars on the Planet. The paths to modifying these cars are narrow and fairly well defined. Everthing You could know up until this point in time is here on the pages of this great lttle forum. It's OK to be a Noob while You are one, But with Your curiousity I think after You have invested 10,000 hours into reading You will be able to tell Me thing or 2.

I do not think there is such a thing as a Generic Turbo, and if there was I am certain I would not be interested in some piece of Junk no one want's to lay Claim to. While there are a couple of Types of Turbos They seem to differ By size, Output and Plumbing. It is not the TURBO that is the Issue with putting one in this car it is the programing and secondaraily the hardware.

Patience Young jedi. BEGI is getting close to having a running prototype and then all Your questions will be answered. To fill n the time between now and then You can Bone up on the things already done with this car and all the dead ends and Failures by Headstong fellows who thought this Car was a ricer.

Made me smile when I read that... what did happen to those 3-4 newbees last spring that we're going to show us how to blue tooth tune this car with your iphone?

Oh...and I found some turbo test tires for burnout comp day! LOL.
