Need some help.My car will start everytimebut when you accerate it will bog down, then it will run ok till you accerate hard then it bogs again.Check engine lite comes 0n with code P0172
When Monitored and Set Condition
² When Monitored: With the engine running in closed loop mode, the ambient/battery temperature above -7°C (20°F),
altitude below 2590m (8500 ft). and fuel level greater than 15%.
² Set Condition: If the PCM multiplies short term compensation by long term adaptive and a certain percentage
is exceeded for two trips, the MIL illuminates and a trouble code is stored.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
RESTRICTED FUEL SUPPLY LINE
FUEL STRAINER PLUGGED
O2 SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
O2 SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
O2 SENSOR HEATER OPERATION
MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR OPERATION
ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OPERATION
ENGINE MECHANICAL PROBLEM
O2 SENSOR
FUEL PUMP
FUEL CONTAMINATION/EXHAUST LEAK
I'd start with replacing the fuel filter .....
Thanks I have chaged fuel filter,O2 sesor bank 2 by the cat converte,r egr valve.Blew lines out.How much fuel pressure does the fuel pump suppose to have?

Manual says :
WARNING: THE FUEL SYSTEM IS UNDER A CONSTANT PRESSURE
(EVEN WITH THE ENGINE OFF). BEFORE TESTING OR SERVICING
ANY FUEL SYSTEM HOSE, FITTING OR LINE, THE FUEL SYSTEM
PRESSURE MUST BE RELEASED.
Turn the ignition off.
Install a fuel pressure gauge.
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRB IIIT, actuate the Fuel Pump Relay and observe the fuel
pressure gauge.
Note: Fuel pressure specification is 3.7 to 4.2 bar (54 to 61 psi).

P0172 System too Rich (Bank 1)
Too rich is too much gas not too little.
So too little air or injector problem?
Clean the injectors? Can they stick open slightly?
How many miles on this car? What model?
Okay my turn to jump in with .02 worth.. Wifes tahoe was throwing a bank rich code.. hmm.. rich..okay I can live with/pittle with fixing this.. ended up replacing the fuel pump..internal.. pump feeds internal filter.. hose between the two had blown a hole in the side.. (anurism) .. got that fixed and no codes...
NOW since it was saying rich.. and obviously with a hole it was actually starving... 02 sensor reading gases?.. says lean and crank open the injector cycle.. and computer says hey we're running rich on this cycle..lets warn somebody?
Just love the computer age!

It is an 05 limited with 55000 miles
Im having the same problem. I didn't have PO172 and PO175 come up till I got it back from shop, did not ask them to, only an all wheel alignment. The receipt said they put it on the machine. Why, Im not sure. Also, will injector cleaners or any type of fuel additives cause it to run rich?
