My 2006 Crossfire LTD broke down yesterday. Had the car towed to a repair center. Im being told it needs a water pump. Any suggestions on where to get the best deal on a new water pump? Any help will be greatly appreciated

It's really a pretty easy ( although somewhat messy ) DIY.
If you unplug and remove the fan and shroud, there's plenty of room to work.
You will need a female Torx socket set, and about 2 gallons of Zerex G05 antifreeze before starting.

Do a full flush while you are at it, and refill with 50/50 G05/distilled water.

Can we assume that there was a massive water leak or noise from the pump? These service centers will tell you anything, remember they lie with a straight face.

they are telling figgy the right price for the pump. but there are less pricy pumps out there.

 

Yeah I know, you can buy a new Bosch one for $125.
An AC Delco goes for $200.
