Headers, I mean jewelry, arrived
Headers arrived! Hot diggity dog! Now for a few comments after first glance. They are very high quality and I'm happy. I've seen better welding but only from the best of the best. The welds inside of the tubes have been ground down in all the reachable areas. I managed to get a finger on one joint they didn't reach and it's still relatively smooth with minimal intrusion into the inside of the tube. Besides the headers in the box, 2 plugs for the O2 sensor bungs, 2 short slip on collector tubes that reduce the diameter to match the stock exhaust size with clamps were included. No gaskets that I saw, I'll look again but I think I need to buy them myself.
From the pictures you will notice the driver side requires more space than the passenger side. The side with the power steering and AC hoses which will require the heat shield to be modified or removed. I plan on using some header wrap in the tubes that are closest to the heat sensitive places. I had en EGT bung welded on the passenger side while I was at it.
Good news, I have lots of work lately which is why I could afford these headers. Bad news, it's going to be difficult to find time to install them. I WILL have a dyno test performed on my car as it sits before the install. Hopefully a dyno the same day after the install. If impossible, ASAP one will be preformed. I want everyone to know the results, especially the fabricator of said headers. I have no idea what the results will be. Having already removed the cats, it seems unlikely I'll see the huge gains claimed by owners going from stock to headers without cats. I want to be surprised on the up side. Today is spend time with the wife day but when I get a chance I'll take some measurements (of the primaries etc.) for you dirty minded perverts.

These are from Dyno-Comp. MBH became a division of Dyno-Comp recently so in reality either is correct.
I've wanted long tubes for years. I looked into having them made locally but it meant being without my car for who knows how long. That wasn't happening. Rob's look top notch and I almost decided to wait for them but at the end of the day, I fell asleep and ended up dreaming of long tubes. It was the right decision for me.

A little more info on the headers. The collector is 2.5", the primaries are 1.75". The website says 2". Frankly I was worried about them being too big so 1.75" is fine. I need to mention the error on the website. I suspect it's because the C32 uses 2" and the SRT version uses 1.75" because of space considerations. I'll find out. I'll also ask about the header to head gaskets. I'm assuming it uses some kind of gasket and the website says all gaskets are included.
The drivers side front tube is in 2 pieces with a slip joint and the rear underside flange is slotted. I would guess to facilitate the installation ..... or make installation possible. The passenger side is normal. As I go along you can expect updates.

So did you measure your wife's primaries or not? Or did I read something else into that? Yes, at my age perversion is possible. Long tubes I can see. Tell how easy the install was.
Those are beautiful. They look wicked man! I count 7 bungs, what are they all for? I can't wait to see what you think of these. Thanks for posting pics

These are for a SRT-6 but they should fit a N/A. I don't see why not. The price to power ratio for a N/A is steep, it's steep for a SRT. I'm not putting the cart before the horse just yet. I need to get theses installed and documented.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you do with that slip joint on the drivers side to stop exhaust leaks ? Is there some sort of heavy duty clamp, or are you supposed to measure, then have that joint welded up ?
Not that I could say I am interested at this price, but I do admire good engineering, and these are real beauties !!!

The slip joint is double wall and the primary slides between the 2. I had a slip joint on a 6 into 2 (yep, inline 6 with headers) that wasn't double wall and it never leaked so I'm not concerned. My guess is it was the only way to get them up to the engine from below. Having been under the car recently investigating and deciding if I wanted to do it myself, I don't want to do it myself. It looks impossible. But, not my problem. I have a fixed quote no matter how long it takes.

Good luck with the install.

The installation is $400.00. Then the headers have to be fitted to the stock exhaust which is extra. I have a few options there, custom, cut the stock pipes or cut the Needswings downpipes.
